Retreads like Beasley and Donovan will make this team. That's not good news for how the USA is developing players.

Other posters have already asked but still....

If they start that old frick Tim Howard in Brazil, I'm done with this team.

Now, where'd I put my knockoff Neymar Jr Brazil jersey? I need to school some bitches in FIFA.

Damn Sam, you take these things seriously, don't you?

What are you, the fricking board monitor?

I meant that if two 30-plus yo's are our best players--whom I remember in 2002 were projected to be international superstars, but turned out to be basically journeymen as being compared to world-class players--then it doesn't say much for the way the US is developing players.

Lighten up, man. Life isn't all that bad.

Sheesh. I didn't realize the USMNT following was a cloistered cult on here just like the recruiting board.

Disagreeing with your retarded statement doesn't make this a cult.

Do we have reason to think Dolo will ever be healthy enough to even get match fit?

He's been playing in reserve matches for Hannover lately and last week was available as a sub for the first team. Barring anymore setbacks, he'll be starting at RB relatively soon.

You think Beasley is one of our best players? That's cute.

Also, do you even know what a journeyman is? Because that doesn't describe Donovan at all.

In what sense of the word is Donovan a journeyman?

People aren't gonna let you come in here and say things that are blatantly wrong about a guy like Donovan. Have you never met fans of a team before? Generally they're pretty passionate about their star players.

Just too many back passes and no urgent attacking until Bacon and Shea got on. Say what you want about Shea but I think he has been pretty valuable to us as a 65th-70th minute sub. Certainly didn't think he "sucked" yesterday.

GAM was just lost out there. Provided zero width and way too many turnovers.

So is it time to go back to the 4-4-2 with Dempsey going back to the left wing and Bacon pairing up top with Jozy?

I just think those two guys could be lethal together.

Brek created more chances in his 20 then we had in the prior 70.

He needs to get out of Stoke in the Jan transfer window so he can get some consistent playing time somewhere.

Ignoring everything else, our best player is 26.

Shea provided an attacking spark, although his passing and ball control were lackluster at times. He definitely needs to get consistent playing time somewhere.

AJ looked great. In my opinion he was by far our most threatening player. He and Jozy looked much better up top together than they did previously.

At this point I wouldn't mind seeing Dempsey on the left with FJ behind him.

I'm not sure about Donovan though. I don't really see him as a winger anymore. He looked so good centrally in the GC and he really has, with Bradley, one of the best soccer minds on the team. He knows how to move, how to pass, how to set up play, etc. He's a great catalyst centrally.

Jurgy isn't going to drop Jones.
