Here is a thread - just one thread - to discuss potential trade scenarios.

Rudy Gay Chardonnay for Eric Gordon. It works in the Trade Machine. Who says no?
----------
Jeff Green + Brandon Bass for Eric Gordon + 2014 2nd Rder. It works in the Trade Machine. Who says no?
----------
Houston receives Ryan Anderson
New Orleans receives Omer Asik
New Orleans receives Kyle Singler
Detroit receives Tyreke Evans
Probably some picks and cash considerations thrown in there as well

Hell no. Gordon is the better player and he's getting paid $3mill less per year. Might as well trade Jrue for Steph Curry. Works on the trade machine too.

Eric Gordon is not the problem.

But Rudy Gay fixes the gaping problem at SF
And why not trade EG while his value is as high as it'll ever be, it's not like he's built to last

Which is still not that high
because...

because we'd go from paying a ton of money to an injury prone sg to an inefficient chucker at the 3.

Rudy Gay is a black hole on offense
Gordon may be pretty average, but at least he doesn't go like 6 for 25 every night
Dude shot like 10 for 37 the other night. Terrible.

And he had 23 pts (8-18 shooting) with 6 reb, 4ast, 5stl, 2blk tonight, which i might add, is far and away more well rounded than the Hurt One will ever be.

You really don't get it, do you?

You know you're terrible when danman wouldn't trade Gordon for you

The truth behind that statement is mind-blowing.

Yeah Rudy Gay is definitely not the answer.
Honestly, there are only two ways to go with this roster:
Mostly stick it out with the current roster, trade some more minor players for others that might work better with the roster, and sign a SF or C for the MLE this summer that works in the new coach's system.
Or
Do everything you can to blow it all up and move almost everyone but Davis for expirings. Start over from square one.

Cool. RA a guy for posting about three hypothetical situations that I'd like to discuss with other Pelicans fans. Really mature

I was going to post my Detroit trade in that thread.
If you're going to make asinine trades, at least have fun:
DET:
Gordon/Anderson/Roberts
NOP:
Stuckey/Villaneuva/Monroe/Datome
Villaneuva and Stuckey come off the books, reup Monroe for the 4 year Max, spend FA money for a swiss army knife SF and bench players that can nail 3s.
Plus with Datome, we can get some of this action

Didn't realize that was being an "attention whore."
Not an alter.

thanks, Ice
if you want to trade someone, btw, Gordon probably isn't the one you wanna do. his value will likely only go up between now and the end of the year.
