Saban will up that salary by at least 50% if he goes to Austin.

our coach is paid outside a top 5 football program yet our program is in the top 5 in the country.

This was noted on the SECR that he's only at like $3.5MM. Some of this is Wisc pay.

The guy is doing work and will get a massive raise.

And we're usually about a 7th ranked team. Seems about right. Still, 4.5 million should at least buy SEC championships pretty regularly.
All in all, I'd say that's about right then. Mack Brown, Bielema, Jones, Stoops, Hoke, and Ferentz are all vastly overpaid.

Not a chart that provides ammo for anti-Les-ites or his supporters. Just shows what we already knew. Big-time programs pay big-time dollars and the salaries aren't necessarily commensurate with W's.

The big takeaway? Bret Bielema makes a lot of money. At $2.95 million, he is one of the highest-paid coaches in the country. But in the USA Today table, he's listed at $5.16 million, right behind Mack Brown and Nick Saban. That includes Bielema's one-time Wisconsin buyout, however, as these are the annual salary terms of his actual Arkansas contract:
