Went to Trader Joe's and picked up some frozen mushroom and black truffle flatbread, some brussel sprouts, a half gallon of milk, and some sauvignon blanc.

That store has some neat things, but it certainly won't be a regular stop.

Pros: Really interesting frozen section and packaged goods.. SUPER inexpensive.. friendly employees

Cons: It's pretty much only packaged food, which I don't buy a lot of. Yeah, the frozen aisle had things I've never seen in a frozen section.. but I don't buy frozen shite. So it really does me no good.
No real meat department. Just some packaged meats.
The customers. Same reason I avoid Whole Foods. I can't handle hoards of people.. and the majority don't say excuse me even if they walk right between you and whatever you're reaching for.

I was behind the most uppity bitch I've ever seen in my life while I was in line.

I realize it just opened and I did go on Saturday, but holy shite! It was so packed and seemed a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I got some hash browns though :)

Oh and the checkout lady was hyped up! She was way to excited to be scanning foods..

So did my roommate

It was small to me too. As is the new Petco. It's so small and compact that even when it's not packed (like tonight), I feel way too claustrophobic. I'll have to go at a random time. Not sure when that will be though because they aren't open late..

You'd think daytime before people get off would be good, but I don't think anyone works because I deal with more lines and people during work hours when I run errands

Yeah..I'd like to think that it's just because it just opened but I guess it remains to be seen.

I like your roommate's style!

salumi plate / decent
burrata crostini with tomato and basil pesto / outrageous
black linguini / flavor was spot on as before, they fumbled with the shrimp this time though .. Odd texture
lamb meatball with poached egg / rich and full of flavor . delicious
satsuma sorbet / perfect end to a meal IMO

Yep. And in their half dozen you get 7. I had on of those too with some pretty decent crab soup, cold beer and a guitar strummer that did a kickass Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Felix's is usually a good stop.
