What gives? Front page of the Advocate this am featuring an article about Bama leaving us in the dust academically and one yesterday on the front page of the sports section. I guess our local writers are pleasing the many Bama lovers in Louisiana while they sit back in Touscaloser and laugh at us.

1. Controversy sells newspapers
2. Owned by Manships who fund the LSU hating Reville.

Georges could care less - it is his media voice to express his politics (loved that Carter Democratic Party letter about a week ago) and to stab at LSU as a Tulane graduate.

Louisiana needs to make the flagship university a priority. LSU is slipping academically and it never was that good to begin with. The truth hurts.

Wait, I thought it was the Times Picayune that loves Tulane and hates LSU. Now the Advocate??!
And the Laffayette paper hates LSU. So does Glenn Diulldo, and all of the sports talk shows in La.

What are we ever going to do?? Everyone hates LSU!!!!

The timing of the article sucks, but everything in it is the truth. Jindal is no friend of LSU.

The truth may hurt but why not compare us to wide scale of colleges? No, we are compared to Bama on the front page. Why them?

Because of the similarities between the two schools? Just a wild guess.

Very true High C. He's using the governorship as a stepping stone to Washington. He doesn't get a rat's arse about LA or LSU.

But it's not the "truth". The article even references the importance of research expenditures in comparing schools. Wonder why that critical metric didn't influence the tone of the article?

Lazy journalism and the editor should be held accountable for this crap making the cut.

Wait, you mean replacing all the instructors with PhDs and GAs via the "master plan" didn't improve academics?
