I think that Harden has stepped his game up even more this year.

I'm not trying to argue that Harden has had a better career. I'm trying to argue that I think he is better right now.

So, you're just going to come back with a different excuse after everything? Harden is currently on a better team than Durant but seriously man, take a deep breath.

I'm just glad we can move on from Harden vs. Kobe now.

Those stats show nothing. Of course the number one scoring option had more points. Field goal percentages are super close. Harden has more assists, steals, less turnovers.

THESE PLAYERS ARE COMPARABLE.

It's a given that Harden is the best 2 in the L. Time to up the ante.

I just quoted my unedited original post! I want to know who is better right now, clearly. Are you that dense?

Kevin Durant is better right now. That's the answer. I'm not sure what you don't understand.

You have not given any evidence to support that claim. Only career stats. I'm going to bookmark this thread, but I'm sure you will have some excuse.

It's fine that you think Durant is better than Harden, but you are way discrediting Harden.

You're going off of 3 fricking games, man. Let's look at their stats as starters if you want.

Same amount of shots per game. Durant shot 51% compared to 43.8%. Durant made 41.6% 3pt, Harden made 36.8%. Durant averaged 7.9 rebounds compared to 4.1.

Advanced stats, Durant with 18.9 win shares, compared to 12.8 for Harden. 64.7 TS% compared to 60. Higher eFG%, lower turnover percentage, a better offensive and defensive rating.

How?

HH,

Hard to argue with someone who is throwing out shite like:

quote:

Larry Bird was better than Michael Jordan for a few years. How did that turn out?

As actual discussion for this argument.

Harden averaged more assists and his true shooting percentage was much closer than actual.

And keep in mind, that was his FIRST season as a starter. I'm assuming that Harden has improved with an actual offseason with his team.

I'm sure Durant never improved to get to this point. Of course he did!

So if we don't agree with you when you say Harden is better then we of naturally are discrediting Harden?

No, we're merely answering your question.

Was that not true? Of course Durant is going to be better if he is in the league before Harden. A rookie has never won the MVP award because players improve during their careers.

I was mainly annoyed with the initial responses of "KD, duh"
