Disagree, simply because Luck graded out so astronomically high. He was incredibly cerebral, great size, great production, pro style offense under Harbaugh and Shaw, near perfect mechanics, great pocket awareness, really good athleticism, capable of taking a hit, etc. Really no flaws in Luck's game.

Winston's delivery looks awkward to me and is certainly not as crisp as Luck's throwing motion. How fast is Winston in the 40? He looks like a good athlete, but Luck ran in the 4.6s at the combine and can definitely get extra yardage. Winston certainly doesn't have Vick/RG3 speed, maybe not even Russell Wilson.

I disagree. He will probably be a great QB but I don't see him being as hyped as Luck

He may be a better prospect than Luck but that doesn't mean he will be a better pro. Will he be a great leader and be a coach in the field the way great NFL QBs are? Will he be accurate throwing with pressure and from the pocket in the NFL? Winston has potential but that means he hasn't done it yet. If he does bad (and is highly rated) he could also be one of the biggest busts in NFL history.

Hi haters, this bump is for you.

Not that his opinion is gold, but....

Mcshay just did his weekly segment on svp and russillo.

He was asked if the 3 years from hs restriction was out, who would the top pick be. He said Jameis would go number 1, has more potential than any qb in this class.

Also bumped mariotta above teddy fwiw.

Bump. Still undefeated. Is going to win the Heisman in a landslide; is playing for the crystal ball.

Luck is sucking it up. Better comparison would be to cam.

Cam is a slightly better prospect IMO.

Was slammed for saying he would be the top pick THIS year, now all the experts agree.

IMO, Luck is the best prospect since Peyton. Jameis is a better-throwing/worse-running version of Cam.

Jameis hasn't played a single college game against a decent defense, so there's really not a large enough sample size to accurately judge him.

I think if he proves himself next year vs. better competition he could end up being in Luck's category.

No way dude. Jameis is not quite on the same level as Luck. And there is no guarentee he would be the #1 pick. Keep in mind that Jameis has yet to play a shutdown defense in his career, let alone a good defense. Florida St Schedule is weak.

Why do people say shite like this?? How do we know he won't flop? We hear this shite every year, I remember how Vince Young was going to 'revolutionize' the game, then there was Cam Newton, and then Robert Griffin. We all know how VY turned out, Cam is still an arse, but has potential, and Griffin is probably the worst starting QB in the league this year- should be benched. So the point is, stop being like the media trying to build up someone we have no idea how they will turn out!!

No, just no. He's slow, not very bright, and has questionable character. Not a good combination for a QB.

Luck turned the worst team in the league into a playoff team in one year.

Agree or disagree? Kid is going to win the heisman this year and win the next two championships before going #1.

He would be the #1 pick this year at 19 years old.
