How frustrating would it be for LSU fans to beat Bama again at home and they STILL go to the BCS championship game.

i could so see this happening. remember, it's not about resume' its all about the "eyeball test"

IF LSU wins out and Bama beats Auburn, then LSU and Bama would be the only 1-loss teams in the SEC West...and LSU would own the head-to-head tie-breaker against Bama. So, LSU still has a chance to win the SEC championship.

Bama would have the better SEC record and therefore be in ATL.

It's only about the eyeball test if Bama needs it to be.

lol

ETA: LSU would need to win out, Auburn to lose to Georgia, and Auburn to beat Alabama.

They already complain because Bama has so much of an "easier" schedule than LSU

Easier shouldn't be in quotes unless you believe Ky and Tenn are tougher than UGA and Fla, or you think it was truly fair that Bama avoided SC, UGA, and Fla the two years of the bridge schedule.

How exactly is LSU a one loss team with losses to Georgia and Ole Miss? Think before you write or don't write.

My apologies. I thought head-to-head was the first tie-breaker. But SabiDojo has it right. So, LSU still has a chance...just not a very good one.

I think it's actually a pretty good chance. Auburn has to play Georgia, and then play Alabama. I could see Auburn losing to Georgia and then coming back strong and taking the Iron Bowl.

Really, if you ever needed "help" to get into the SECCG, this is a situation you wouldn't mind.

Still don't have it right. Head to head is the first tiebreaker. The problem is getting to that tiebreaker. The fact that we have two losses in conference (and not one) is why we won't likely get to the the tiebreaker. We would win a tiebreaker against Auburn and Alabama (in the unlikely scenario it occurred) because we would have beaten both of them.

Not how it works. But yes we do still have a shot at the SECCG.

Maybe not clear - "1-loss teams IN THE SEC WEST" meant loss within the division.

considering my expectations going into this season. If LSU can run the table and finish with ten wins/BCS Sugar bowl. I'll be happy.

Ditto to this! That would so make up for that awful loss to Ole Miss.
