Just watched. IMO, probably the best Bond film since Goldfinger. Javier Bardem was awesome. The cinematography, especially in Shanghai, was brilliant.

the gay vibes from Bardem were my only turnoff. I love Ralph Fiennes and he was the best M in 2 minutes than the last two M's combined.

Judy Dench was good, but I have high hopes for Fiennes

Agree. I went in thinking I wouldn't like it more than the '06 Casino Royal and walked away pleasantly surprised.

For lack of a better word she grew too fond of Bond almost motherly. I liked the "We don't like each other but we respect each other" aspect of Craig's Bond and Fiennes' M.

I didn't. Casino Royal was a much better movie with a much better plot IMHO.

I loved Skyfall. Harkened back to the golden era of Bond. Really enjoyed the film.

Not as dumb as quantum but close.

Oh, someone wants to kill M. Let me take her to an abandoned home in the middle of nowhere without backup or ordinance.

Instead of hiding there, lets send a signal to the bad guys to let them know where were are and lure them into our trap.

Had high hopes. They weren't even remotely met.

Excellent scene. One of the better action scenes I've ever seen.

I agree the plot was a little thin. The bad guy's scheme seemed a little small, and they almost blow off the list being released when it's revealed that the bad guy is after M. However, the action, cinematography, acting, driecting and editing were top notch. Bond films of late have been a mess around how the movie is made. This one was definitely a nod to the classic Bond Films. Had a similar feel to Doctor No and You Only Live Twice. I especially liked how they redeveloped the classic relationship between Bond and Q and Bond and Moneypenny.

I'm going to have to eventually watch CR again because I remember thinking it was terrible but some people just love the shite out of it. IMO SkyFall is the return to classic Bond and is the first new Bond movie in quite a while to recapture the old feel.

This is dead on. Skyfall seemed like a grown-ups Home Alone.

It's a shame they are wasting Daniel Craig on such crappy story lines.
