Yeah, leading the SEC in passing efficiency with 14 tds and 1 int really sucks.

Yeah, and throwing 2 INT's got him benched for the rest of the year.

Stupid if that is really the case. why didn't he bench Mettenberger after he fumbled against Fla?

OR when he threw 3 picks.
Just when you think CLM can't get any dumber, he always rises to the occasion and proves us wrong.

you guys cant be serious rt? The other backs have shown they are capable. all of you say they would play on other teams. Most teams use more than one back now, you dont use 2 qbs. Do you bench manziel for turning it over? they lost 2 games. No, you guys would be in an uproar if we benched mett and lost with jennings. Most of yall have gone full retard.

It's kind of a silly policy, but that wasn't even close to why we lost. Hilliard had a great game with the carries he got, and Hill still led the team with half the rushing attempts (after removing sacks).

Benching Mett after 3 picks really wouldn't be much dumber than sitting Hill after one fumble that we recovered.

Miles was completely infatuated with Jefferson. He clearly wanted to prove the fans, his coaches, and the media wrong by sticking with him.

Jefferson got his slap on the wrist and the moment he was free and Jarrett Lee had ONE bad half, Miles was smiling like a kid in a candy store. It was time to bring his mobile QB in to prove everyone wrong. Miles even chose to go down with the ship instead of trying anything different in the title game when having Lee and Mett on the bench.

Yeah, I'm sure Miles wouldn't play the player he thought gave him the best decision to win, given all the pressure he is under to win at LSU. I'm not saying I agree with the decision but to think he played JJ just to stick it to Lee and the fans is just so totally absurd I don't even know what to say.

Yep. Lee got benched for having a better half against an NFL defense than Mett had against an Ole Miss defense missing 6 starters.

He led the SEC in pass efficiency during that 8-0 run, idiot.

The ignorance shown by some is comical lol.

Jarrett Lee was far from being a "great QB", but he was certainly the better option. Miles for whatever reason just didn't like the kid. Who knows the real story.

And putting in a true freshman who has thrown, what, 2 passes?

And people like you thought bolden would play over mett, then when mett sucked, wanted him to play because he could run. Now you guys are on the jennings train, another mobile qb.

The big problem with this is that competitors cherish the opportunity to redeem themselves. If you bench the guy for messing up you forego this opportunity.

It was general consensus that the fumble was why he sat from the moment Hilliard started getting the bulk... Miles validating this only tells us what 90% of the fanbase knew...

You do know Hill got carries after his fumble right?

That fumble is the single worst thing he's ever done in his life.

Yes, zero points scored on those series. Hill is an All-American caliber running back, and he is much better than his backups. We just took a big weapon off of the field for a silly reason.

I guess next game Hill will quit running hard and simply fall down to protect the ball at the first sign of a defender.

Such a stupid decision

It's what LSU has always done. However, Mett should have missed a series after the second interception. If Miles thinks doing that would have been detrimental, he needs to be consistent with that thought when it comes to Hill. Why couldn't he just miss a series then get back out there?
