Probably

That would be the smart thing to do at first. Do their best to stop the run, get pressure while bumping our WR's at the line.

If it works early..we could be in for a long day.

It wont be that simple. I think they mix it up with zone blitz and some confusion at the line of scrimmage.

Everyone we play will plan on stopping the run first with us. Nobody come out and play us nickel on first down.

Ole Miss will do the same, so will Furman, so will Bama, so will A&M and so will Arkansas.

yup. i expect to see them try to man our wr's and see if they can. this means they will crowd the line of scrimmage and this meets the definition of stacking the box. i doubt they'll put 8 and 9 guys on the run very much but since they will disguise their coverages they may do that, esp in obvious running situations. i really don't think their db's are better than tcu's were and i hope the refs call interference more than those guys did.

Hill is probably the worst RB in CFB to stack the box on. If he breaks through the first level, BYE! Go look at his long runs. Most (if not all) have come against a stacked box. He'll juke the LB, plow the safety, and then take it to the house. Hell of a risky move. . .and that's if Cam doesn't call for a passing play.

It would probably be the smart move on UF's part. Especially if Jarvis is not 100% on Saturday.

That is what they are saying they are going to do, but then again, it wouldn't be the first time a coach might misdirect his opponent.

For the most part. Your receivers, particularly Landry are very savvy operating versus zone.

I don't know why LSU insist on running the ball when opponents stack the box.

They definitely will stack the box and play man. Every team we play does most of the time. As a opposing coach you have to respect LSU's run because of the backs we field.

We have been beating this with the pass all year. I don't think it will change in this game, but I am looking forward to the challenge UF brings to the LSU offense.

I think LSU will challenge UF's D with our running game. They haven't looked as good since they lost Easly.

I doubt they stack the box and play man against us, manly because they have a freshman CB starting. And hes a great freshman CB, but i think Jarvis and Mett would pick on him the entire game. I actually think they will play a lot of base/nickel D. They have a great DL to slow our running game down without stacking the box. And they have really good DBs to play with our WRs. Just dont think they stack the box and put their CBs on an island. Play a lot of base/nickel and blitz a good bit.

I see it being a pretty straight forward game.

Muschamp does not like to stack the box against the run unless he feels like he has too. UF actually plays about 60-70% nickel, because he likes having speed on the field. Usually he rotates one safety down in the nickel to help with the run.

Florida will hope that the front 7 will be able to contain the run, and that the front 4 can pressure Mett, and will man up on the outside. UF will pretty consistently have one safety deep down the field.

There will not be a ton of zone. Some, obviously, bust mostly, tough, in your face, "handsy", man defense.

They'll key on Odell & Landry. Cam will catch them off guard with passes to TEs,& RBs.

If we put 4 wide outs to start the opening drive, I doubt we see a stacked box, but I would hope so to see the TD on the first play of the game.

wouldn't be surprised if this is a game we go to the fullback and tight end a few more times than normal if that's the case...hell a few halfback screens as well
