I'm leaning towards he's gone.

He might have used up his time there IMO

But I think they keep him for some reason

One more year left on his contract .. I think they keep him for 2014 and if they're not in the postseason he's 100% gone.

He's the most successful manager they've ever had. And the rangers just had a pretty good season with less talent than in the past. Why fire him?

Washington got his team to two World Series and didn't win them. I think that is his ceiling. Might as well try someone new.

He was without Nelson Cruz for the bulk of the year, and they also had to replace Hamilton this season (despite his decline with the Angels). If Cruz doesn't get suspended, that's good for at least a few more wins, putting them squarely in the playoffs. No way he goes. Huge mistake if Ryan sends him packing.

Upper management has been looking for a reason to get rid of him ever since his drug incident

Eh, I admittedly don't follow the Rangers closely enough to be privy to their inner goings-on, but I'm 35 and don't ever remember them having this good of a run. Sure, they haven't brought home the prize, but they're right there and in the conversation every year now.

Honestly, I love Wash and I would think very few fans wouldn't like the guy. He loves what he does and has done a great job with the talent he has been given. He can't help it that Jon Daniels can't put together a solid lineup
