I grew up eating my mom's catheads with butter and Steens, still love it. Need some new ideas for using it. What say the experts

It has a pecan pie recipe on the back of the can and jar. I buy jars now.
Make a nice vinaigrette.
Pour it over a nice spicy hot piece of fried chicken.

As others have said, it's great on pork including hams. When I was a kid, a lady down the street made popcorn balls with it to give out at Halloween. We always looked forward to those.

Sub all or part of the cane syrup?

Read the back. The recipe is on it.

We make a spiced rum, butter and molasses topping for sweet potatoes. I am thinking you could use Steen's anywhere you use molasses.

Dip fried back strap in it.
It's going to be one of my last meals.

Drizzle it over grilled deer meat when it is nearly done cooking. Makes a nice, sweet caramelized glaze. Mix it with red chili oil for a sweet/hot glaze. Great on pork chops too.
Best advice I can give is dont buy commercial cane syrup, buy some at a farmers market or somewhere that it is made without a bunch of Kayo sugar suryp. Real, not stretched, cane syrup is sooooooo much better, I promise you.

Yes. You just reminded me. My aunt uses it in her baked beans. She makes her baked beans from scratch beginning with white northern beans.

I do this too. My with gave me a LeCreuset bean pot and I make them in it in the oven. Great beans.
