was on WJOX 94.5 in Birmingham. Said he's going with the home team.

Whereas I think LSU will win, can't really argue with a pick like that.By no means did he insinuate its a lock.

He also picked Texas and Southern Cal to finish in the Top 5. I thought what he said was stupid. Using the good old transitive TCU property as a barometer for how this game will go. He is a hack.

If he just would have picked LSU, we could have been praising him as a great man.

Man, this game could be close. It could go either way. I think the Tigers have the edge in talent, but they are playing at Georgia.
It's a tossup and everyone has their "guess".

I think any of those knocking the TCU win know little about college football.

A) Turnovers and one kickoff return kept that game from being a blowout
B) TCU's starting qb was injured the following week
C) Upsets happen at a great rate for the home dogs in Thursday night ESPN games
D) TCU's defense played very well against T Tech

I don't get all the TCU hate. They are a solid top 25ish type team with a very good defense.

I cannot find a lot of fault with picking Georgia, but the guy is a hack. I live in Hillbilly Hell (NW Arkansas) and they had Phil Steele on the radio before the season and he picked Arky to win 8 games. Soooiiieeee!!!!

Phil Steele is great and puts out the best magazine. The fact that you people like or dislike people because of who they pick to win a game is beyond me.

Who cares.

Idgaf if he picks UGA. He had Texas as a top 5 team in he preseason. Think about that

It's not like it is some insane pick.

This game should be close.

Both teams are pretty much even. When that's the case, it's never bad to just pick the home team. I don't see any problem with his pick.

He had VT, ND, USC, and Texas all in his preseason top 12. He panders to large fanbases which is what makes him a hack.

We are toast. After all he puts out THE MOST ACCURATE PRESEASON MAGAZINE 11 YEARS RUNNING.

I buy the magazine every year but I'd like it a lot more if he didn't spend 1/4 of the time trying to convince us how ACCURATE all his prior predictions are. The fact that he still points out that he correctly picked R Williams to win the Heisman in 98 should tell you something.
