Who are all these awesome folks I can sell my tickets to....

who won't leave early? They surely must exist, because they keep getting mentioned (mythologized) on here.
They don't exist. The stadium is now so big and tickets so plentiful that anybody who really wants to go to a game can usually find tickets for most games. They mythical construction worker and shrimper from Galliano haven't gone to LSU games in 30 years.
btw... I had people around me who were apparently "given" other people's tickets, and they left at halftime.

And the situation will get much worse with another stadium addition.
I know plenty of people that cannot afford to buy LSU tickets - when you add in TAF, it is as high if not more expensive than many Saints tickets.
Considering the monsoon yesterday, it was nice to see the game GOLD when it started.
I will never forget that Miami "hurricane" game back in the 80's - still wonder WTF why we stayed that entire a-- beating??

I'm pretty awesome. I cheer every play. Don't curse in front of kids, and stay the whole game.
But I'm poor so you'll have to give them to me.

Hannagriff broke this down the other night on Tigerzone.
Said about 1/3 are die hard football fans. 1/3 are there for the tailgating. 1/3 are there for something to do.
The price excuse is old and lame and cheap tickets outside the stadium are proof of that. I know people every week from all financial backgrounds that have tickets given to them and they leave early or don't go at all.
The blue collar , die hard fan is more myth than reality.

Making the stadium bigger not only adds to the ticket glut, but it also makes a horrible traffic situation even worse.
People who fantasize about closing in the north endzone are retarded.

people sell tickets on game day for very very cheap or give them away before gametime.
so the idea that it's too expensive is bullshite

bullshite. aTm is going to be the only game all year where tickets will cost even face.

Me. If you sell tickets to good games for face value, post them on the ticket exchange and I'll buy every one of them.

I will not sell any more for face. I sold my season tickets for cost only to find out this person is selling them on stub hub. I was trying to help someone go to the games and this is what they do.
I bought 4 season tickets from a nice person at costmore so my family could sit together and left at half time. My teenagers were freezing cold from being wet. We didn't want to leave but rather them not get sick.

I can only make it to a few games a year, but I have only left once before the band plays the circle of life.

The point is sorely missed. The size of Tiger Stadium has nothing to do with "fans" leaving at halftime or mid-third quarter or any other early exit. It's a growing phenomenon each season.
I can't blame this on kickoff time, as that varies from game to game. Weather isn't the issue either except for some folks last night. We've been winning for years, so that's not it.
I believe it a combination of a number of the following factors:
1) Less seats available for students (smaller student section)
2) The overall cost to purchase season tickets has eliminated the typical middle class fan and family in favor of corporate/company purchases
3) Parking and traffic issues around the campus
4) Fair weather fans
5) Apathetic ticket holders
6) A different generation from "the good old days"
2)

Sure people are going to be giving tickets away to the Florida game too.
Good perception though which brings up a huge point - why put out thousands for season tickets and to support TAF if you can go to any game for less than or for face??
Just save your cash and go to the decent games that you select???
