The price excuse is old and lame and cheap tickets outside the stadium are proof of that.

All fine and good if you live nearby. But to drive 6 hours, find parking and "hope" to find 3 or 4 tickets together? If you are telling me this is a given, I will start doing it.I'm serious, not a flame

I'm pretty awesome. I cheer every play. Don't curse in front of kids, and stay the whole game. But I'm poor so you'll have to give them to me.

I've given tickets away for free this year. Other than the "game of the century" type games, you will be able to buy cheap tickets.

Outside of a few extreme outlier type games (Bama last year) it's assuredly a given. You might have to settle for 2 and 2, but I can't believe that would be a deal killer.

I can't believe some of the people bitching on here about leaving the game early last night.
I was amazed as many people actually showed up as they did with the shitty weather.

They should have prizes and giveaways for the best fan contest each week since so many people who post on here seem to like to have pecker measuring contest about who is the best fan.

LSU has increased supply way beyond the demand. TV coverage of every game on ESPNU, etc hurts attendance too ..........

All things considered, I actually felt the crowd atmosphere in the first half was pretty freaking great.

I will never forget that Miami "hurricane" game back in the 80's - still wonder WTF why we stayed that entire a-- beating??

That was one of those "never forget" games, for several reasons. Yes, we were manhandled almost from the first series, but that was the heaviest rain event I have ever experienced in Tiger Stadium (I still join in the "never" chorus, for some inexplicable reason). Rain was sheet flowing down the steps in torrents...soaked to the skin, but also stayed to the end. I still stay in my seat until the final whistle for the same reasons as 30 years ago...there are very few home games each year and it is a small token of appreciation for the time and effort expended by players and coaches.

They won't pay you shite for them so don't worry about selling them.

I find that this is a pretty common position. If by "don't worry about selling" you are suggesting they should be given away, I can agree with that...the money is already spent, and supply and demand depresses the market price for the Kent States of the world. If you suggest just leaving the seats empty...I disagree. One of my long-time friends who also has good lower bowl seats would rather eat the tickets than sell for less than full cost (face value plus pro-rated TAF) and I will never understand it.

I don't understand why people that have extra tickets can't just call up a buddy to go with them or give them to a family member or your neighbor with a little boy that would love to see a game in tiger stadium.
Of course the worst are people that don't go and just leave the seats empty, but I still laugh at these people working their asses off to try and sell a ticket for $25.

I've been coming since Archer's first year and have been bringing the RV since '07.

I think people are just really sick and tired of the traffic and the hassle. They will still go, but they will leave early. I have noticed this becoming more and more apparent over the last few years.

This is also the first year I have seen so many vacant RV spots. You even could have purchased TD Village for the whole year, easily.

Saturation; we are here.

at all these self righteous people who claim to stay the whole time but also in the same thread won't pony up the dough for season tickets....whenever you go to every home game in the season (even the crappy ones) then come and talk to me about staying the entire time...there were plenty of cheap tickets outside the stadium but all you complainers were sitting dry on front of your tv lol

I agree there are almost always tickets available at a discounted price (especially if you don't mind sitting in the upper decks). However, the issue is not filling the stadium for kick-off, it is all those folks with "more important things to do" leaving well before the game is decided. There is really no solution to the problem and it will only get worse when the south expansion is completed...so we should probably move on to solving other critically important issues...like the hot dogs making people feel sick!

Said about 1/3 are die hard football fans. 1/3 are there for the tailgating. 1/3 are there for something to do.

I'm a die hard fan, but I was with more "casual" fans last night and so they wanted to leave when we got up 35-14.

I would've stayed until the end if it were up to me.
