Well, I guess when you can't get the guns banned it's the next best thing.

The U.S. Geological Survey estimates that nationwide there are 400,000 pieces of lead shot per acre in wild game territory that can be eaten or washed into waterways
This is so fricking misleading. There are probably 5,000 pieces of lead in the accompanying picture.

Just another reason, as if I needed another one, to stay out of California.

So, 10 pieces of lead shot per square foot? That is crazy.

It's about time they solve this tragedy. Hopefully all other states will follow suit. I'm hoping we can get all the lead fishing weights off the shelves soon too. Tungsten is the way to go.

North Dakota Department of Public Health that concluded lead is so prevalent in meat harvested through hunting that pregnant women and children should never eat it.
Meanwhile in North Dakota

I've been spending slot of time in Northern California lately. It's beautiful, the food, beer and wine are unbelievable, but they make it very difficult for you to hunt. There is very little public land where you can hunt, and the restrictions are extreme and pervasive. Unless you are rich and have access to land, it is difficult to hunt.

I wonder if this is bullets and shot or just bullets...

Thank God! Now all wildlife will be lead free and our tap water will be safe to drink again!
Bunch of idiots...

Me either Hat. If no one has died from eating ducks and poule deau from Lake Beouf. Then there isn't anything wrong with hunting with lead. Not to mention steel shot has been in place for ducks nation wide for around what twenty years?

Ban naturally occurring lead in the ground while they are at it.

And NORM. Don't forget about the NORM.
Californian pinkos take stupid to new levels on a regular basis.
It's such a shame that a state with that many incredible natural resources had to become a haven for the bleeding heart hippie idiots.
