I wouldn't doubt it but the coaching is a much bigger issue IMO. Tb defense played well, and a few times they did ok on offense. But it seems most times they did well some stupid penalty like illegal formation killed them. It seems the coaches aren't teaching the players the simplest things and its killing Tampa. I do agree freeman doesn't help matters though.

Freeman was really awesome in 2010 as a 22-year-old.

Freeman turns the ball over way too much to be a Top 20 QB. Going into today he had 100 Tds/Fumbles in his career.

He played sandlot ball, and improvised well. Somewhere along the line someone convinced him, or he convinced himself that he'd make a good pocket passer. He doesn't.

He isn't mediocre. He's a Top 15 WR in the league IMO.
They were a fringe playoff team last year but they had another losing streak that cost them their shot. Freeman gets a lot of blame and he should but Schiano is in over his head IMO.

There's been lots of one hit wonder rookies. Look at Vince Young and even Mark Sanchez to a lesser extent.
Freeman wasnt' REALLY awesome in 2010. he was merely better than expected and played well for his age. He hasn't continued that progression.

Hot heads are usually meticulous on details.
Maybe it's because the offense doesn't have a leader. Delay of game penalties, illegal formations many times fall on the QB for not being a good game manager.
