Damn. Every single one of the posters on this thread is either oblivious to humor or a pretentious prick. I'm not sure which is worse.
Here's another Onion headline: You Are Damn Stupid If You Took Our Last Article As Serious. And If You Made Fun Of Stupid People, You Are An a-hole
8-13-13
Local man, TTsTowel, didn't get the joke in the original post. Fellow posters on his favorite site, tigerdroppings.com, said, "Well, it's TTT. The guy's a moron." User bbap even went so far as to suggest the idiocy displayed made it appear as if half of the commentors had used the internet for less than two weeks, despite glaring evidence that the most recent registration date was nine months in the past. Exactly who is the idiot now?

It's not semantics. It's a staple phrase that The Onion writers use.
They even have t-shirts that say it.

If you took the square root of the number of fricks that I give about that, you'd get an imaginary number.

Here is one Onion article that could be true
LOS ANGELES—ESPN programming executives announced Wednesday the debut of a new show called The Pulse that will air afternoons on ESPN and evenings on ESPN2 and which will consist of an attractive blonde host reading tweets and Facebook comments to the camera for a half hour. “This new show will tap into the real conversations taking place across social channels and then literally repeat those conversations back to people,” said Jamie Horowitz, vice president of original programming. “We are confident that a beautiful, flaxen-haired young woman flirtatiously reading short, easy-to-digest messages aloud is exactly the kind of innovative programming that the discerning modern sports fan demands.” After several rounds of test marketing, the collected data suggested that The Pulse has the potential to become the most popular program on the entire ESPN family of networks despite frequently veering completely off the topic of sports.

Isn't that pretty much half the programing on ESPN now?
