Tikka is made in Finland.

Finland has gun laws that include, license issued by police to even purchase, must be stored in safe and disassembled, if more than 5 handguns must allow on site inspection by the police to certify you to have them. Must give reason for ownership to own firearm. Can only transport firearms to and from home to areas of intended approved use. Damn near 30% of your money going to Tikka/Sako prop up this regime of gun Nazis....

Where is the outrage....boycoooooooootttttttttt

They are definitely my favorite. If you could add a little more to that grand and get a Super Grade then you would love it. I have one in 300 Winmag and it is a shooting machine.

Why should you be outraged over how another country regulates THEIR guns?

Just because WE have a 2nd Amend, doesn't mean EVERYONE has one. If that's the way they want to do it, that's their business. It doesn't mean they're Nazis or some shite.

The Finns make DAMN good guns - as do the Czechs and the Belgians - regardless of their gun laws.

I have a pre-64 (1942) in 30-06. You won't find a better rifle. If the new ones are even close I wouldn't hesitate.

Model 70 Featherweight is one of the great bolt action guns of all time. Now with it having athe pre-'64 configuration it is a no-brainer.

Had one in .270 that the former gunsmith for the US Army Marksmanship Unit had tweaked for me.
Sold it many moons ago after being laid off for the 3rd time in 4 yrs back home.
Worst mistake I ever made. Gun was a true tack-driver, especially considering it was not a long, heavy barreled version.

Get the Featherweight. You will NEVER regret it.

This is a hell of a rifle for right around 1k. It comes with a target that proves it can shoot sub moa. The rest is up to you.

I guess I should cut him some slack, some folks are getting worried about having their rights restricted, and are getting a little carried away.

No, they're staying because of the deal they made with the US Government. They sold out! BTW, I have a Savage .308 with a nice scope that I found on Bayoushooter.com for $275. It had never been fired either.

I've got a Savage Model 10 24" with the HB that I only paid like $600 for and am very happy with.

Anyone have any experience with the Ruger Scout in .308? Id prefer a 20" - 22" barrel but the Scout caught my attention.
