Ruger rifles are good, but I wouldn't want that nasty muzzle break on a .308. It's gonna be loud as hell.

For a compact rifle the model 7 is a much better rifle IMO.

Does anyone know if Remington makes the 700 bdl or cdl in .308? I went to Remington's website and saw no wood stock 700s in .308.

You should be able to get pretty much any rifle you want from any manufacturer in .308

True. I just didnt see a .308 bdl or cdl with a wood stock on remington's website. Im partial to wood stocks.

I know a guy with an (i think) ADL .308 but its old.

Woulda lost money on that. Id go to a gun store and ask them what they have and what they can get you.

They are very accurate, and I prefer controlled feed actions so IMO the action is much better than the 700
