Obviously wasn't the long-term answer at PG, but he has to feel awful after what transpired tonight.

Appreciate everything he did for this team the past two years. Think he'll be fine where ever he may end up.

kinda like a Jack thing...does a ton, but he improved his value and will go to a better place with a chance to keep playing a big role for a team, i'm sure.

Much respect to GV. Always played his arse off and stayed positive. Hard to see him remaining on the Pelican roster much longer.

Is it not a possibility we keep him? If Monty is going the SAS route, wouldn't he have to have his Ginobli? I know they have different skill sets, but who knows....

Definitely not impossible, but with us still having glaring needs and only a few guys with any trade value it's a move you'd have to think will be made in the near future.

he stays in philly and he's no better than a 6-8 seed every year with no chance in hell to get out the first round.

i have a few friends who are 76er fans who were really happy with the trade all around. basically they said they had to do something to try to shake up the franchise. they needed a potential superstar, so they are taking a chance. we get a proven guard. it's a win-win, IMO. i'll be interested to see how this turns out 3-5 years down the road.

Holiday is going to a better team on the rise, still getting paid the same. It's not like hes going from a great team to a bad one (ala EG 2 years ago)

Either way, who cares! This is the NBA!! These dudes are getting paid millions to play basketball.
And to the OP, Greivis is either gonna contribute as a backup to hornets and play valuable minutes or go to another team and play valuable minutes. He's proven himself as a player and shouldn't feel bad.

Pretty sure he's not poor. Wealthier then you and me combined. Plus, name a better back up point guard in the nba now.

Bledsoe and jack yes.

Nate Robinson, Norris cole, and Andre miller I disagree. I would take Vasquez over them.

Don't know much about Reggie Jackson

It'll be great when the Pels are running the 2 PG system during Gordon's inevitable 25 game hiatus this season.

Debatable. Jack can't run an offense efficiently. Bledsoe probably won't be a backup and we'll see how good he really is.

Exactly, this gives us 3 good guards and Rivers. Vasquez is also big enough that he could play some 3 in smaller lineups. We could use him in 3 positions.
