Hitchcock and Scorsese are my two favorites. Coen bros, PTA, Wong Kar-wai, and Q.T. are my favorite newer age directors. I have recently taken a huge liking to John Carpenter because of this board.

All mine named except I can't possibly make this list without Spielberg, he's mainstream but he's a motherf#%ker of a director. If it was a top 15 Wes Anderson and Aronofsky would make it too.

I'm not sure if this is directed towards me but I apologize for attempting to put a tiny bit of meaning in my post instead of naming an arbitrary number of directors. Also wanted to give credit to this board. I have seen a good number of very good movies that I might not have seen if not for the M/TV Board. I have zero interest in doing anything to look hipster, went to Brooklyn recently and wanted to punch everybody in their stupid faces.

Don't worry. You have a very boring list of directors

People need to frick off with the hipster thing. Just because you like good or mostly unknown directors doesn't mean you're a hipster. I'd rather like hipster shite than safe, boring shite that most will agree with.
