I never watched kids movies before I had kids. My brother would be like "Dude, you have to watch the Incredibles." I was like "I'm an adult. I watch that stuff when I have kids." It just didn't appeal to me.
Now I watch kids movies with my kids, but if it sucks, I do something else.
The problem with some of you guys is you're just big kids.

Of course it's going to make bank. It's an established franchise. Doesn't mean it's good. Look at what Spiderman 3 made.

Just got done watching it with my son. I liked it as much as the first one.

Well, I saw this 2 nights ago. Can't say I was disappointed or my expectations were exceeded. Pretty much what I expected from such a bizarre concept for a movie.
I particularly liked the end and the film didn't go in the exact direction I expected it to go in. I thought that Sully and Mike's development as going from enemies to friends was fairly realistic.
I do agree though that the movie was sorely missing Boo.

I just don't understand how you could make a college movie that's rated G.
Maybe Disney has passed Pixar. Wreck It Ralph was certainly better than Brave.

Well, I actively looked at it, and they kinda gloss over the fraternity and party life. And at one of the parties, some people there have some red solo cups, so I'm just going to assume they were drinking.

Oh it made money? Hum, time to talk about it only being a cash grab and how it didn't fulfill unrealistic expectations.

doesn't mean I can't enjoy it though.
How dare you be open minded.

Pixar has lasted long enough to go from the coolest thing on Earth to the lamest thing on Earth, according to the ultra "too cool for everyone else internet champions" out there.
Everything is cyclical. They will go back to being cool in retro, ironic way again.

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Pixar was putting out Shawshank when everyone else was putting out Battleship. Everyone has upped their game now. WALL-E and Up are still two of the best animated movies ever though and those aren't that old.

The only post in this entire thread - including this one - that is worth a hippie fart is udtiger's TDK line.
Monsters U was awesome. Entertained the hell out of me, had that Pixar heart and really had a great message for the kids: Do what's right and bust your arse, good things will come to you.

Would my 4 year old enjoy it? I could care less if I think it sucks, but if its enjoyable to him, im good. He loves the first Monsters.

He'll love it and if you want your kid to see that hard work pays off, you'll love it too.
