I can see it either way. If you pitch, say Bonvillain against NC State's 3rd best pitcher and win on Friday, then you have Nola lined up against their ace with an extra day rest. Not sure I want Bonvillain up against Rodon, but that could work too. Either scenario could work or backfire, neither is "cute" or smart.

I think we can make it through the losers bracket but may run out of steam trying to beat the same team twice in game 4 and then twice in a championship scenario

Don't worry about the hitting, it will come around in a big way.

I seriously don't think we can win 4 in a row playing small ball with these teams.
i'm not even going to act like I know anything about baseball, but we refused to play small ball, even in the most critical of situations, and a DP hitting machine. damn...still puzzles me.

So sad that such a talented team may fail because of 3 miscues , 2 by players and 1 by the coach. CPM's decision is the worst of the three because he had total control in the situation

well, they really have no choice now, and I don't mean that in a rhetorical way.

Let's face it...if it's Eades that PM trots out there in Game 2, then there will be struggles on the mound and he'll give up some runs...if it's the Eades of the last few weeks. our bats have no choice but to wake the hell up and score runs for him.

UNC is LH dominant. He has to throw Glenn.

Sorry, little hungover this AM.

What happened to our hitting? The guy is a great pitcher but the Tigers weren't very good at the plate. Nola pitched a great game but errors gave it away!

Fact is you really need more than 1 run to win a game in college baseball, and LSU ran into a really tough pitcher.

About the bunt/no bunt: It is easy to criticize this decision, I did at the time as well. Raph is a senior, proven hitter and frankly was due. We took a chance and lost. Raph could have also bunted one that popped up and some would have questioned why we didn't let the nation's best hitter from a year ago not hit in a clutch situation.

Point is more times than not this staff has made the right decisions. Now is not the time to question and call out the coaches/players in the middle of the CWS.

This.

It really shouldn't even be a discussion. If we win the next two games Nola will be pitching on Friday. PM even said it last night.

Top shelf pitching. We won't face this type of pitcher again until friday/sat at the earliest.

Of course - We've still got a great shot. One game at a time.

We've had 13 and 15 game winning streaks, every time we've lost we go on a 4+ game winning spread and have only lost back to back once. Hellz yea can do it.

Tough, deep bracket but we can do it. Bats need to come alive.
