I used to live up there and my mom still does. I try to go visit her every summer and use the CWS as an excuse to get up there. Works out well. Free room and board and get to see LSU when they make it up 
I've gone 3 times when LSU hasn't made it and it just wasn't the same. Took my wife for the first time in 09' and she lucked out with a championship

Dunno about the new stadium but 2000 was easy getting it in...flasks or whatever. There was some 70+ yo dude sitting behind us that brought in a handle of Jack. He hooked us up after the flasks were gone. Cool guy. Had to watch You-tube videos to remember the game.
