[quote]One of the biggest knocks on him is he is surrounded by great players. His teammates are very good players, but this series has showed that without him this team would be mediocre at best. I have heard people on this board say the heat without lebron would sti be great. Simply untrue[/quote

Any team would suck more without their elite level player, but the Heat would be a lot better off than most for such an event. I think lebron is great, but your thread and line of thinking is dumb

It is a knock on his current (and any future) championships, but nobody (at least no one competent) has denied that LeBron is the most dominant player in the league right now. It has been that way for a few years now and it will likely be that way for a few more.

The knock is he isn't dominant enough to carry a team by himself. He needs help (like most stars do), but that doesn't diminish the fact that he is currently the best player in the game.

Don't create a non issue, you won't find many people that have said that this year.

It's hard to sit here and criticize his game because he is no doubt the best player in the world.

But he needs to play with more of a chip on his shoulder from the tip off. It seems like he acts like everything is all good at the beginning then when it gets close at the end he gets intense. He needs to play with that same intensity from the start

I swear half this board has said LeBron can't be in consideration for All-time great status for joining a superstar team, but maybe I was just imagining those 1,000 threads. Close to a 40 page thread on the topic LINK. And I could link a million more

Well he started the All-Star game. Does that count?

You think Wade is playing like an All-Star?

At times, yes. He certainly isn't playing like Larry Hughes.

What elite role players do they have? Don't say a bunch of ailing has-beens.

I was going to say Ray Allen, Battier, and Cole but clearly you will spin it to fit your argument.

It is mind blowing that people are trying to say Lebron has bad teammates

How do you suggest he make Birdman and Udonis Haslem rebound better?

Wade averaged 21 this year and Bosh averaged 17...are you talking about strictly playoff numbers? No they aren't playing great at all, but to play the "poor Lebron" card is ridiculous. Who else should the Heat add? Now if you are saying that if Miami looses he should not get the blame, then yeah I agree totally.

Uh...yea..they are playoff stats...

No "poor LeBron"

They're playing a little better than when he carried the Cavs to the finals at 22.

Which mean I still expect him to carry this team to the finals at 28. And it will be up to him for them to win a championship against the Spurs.

But enjoy the jerk fest while it last. Heat win the next two games.

See you around the finals when its even tougher.

That shite is a popularity contest. Do you think he is the best player at his position in the East? If you do I feel sorry for you.

At times, as in for a handful of minutes a game. He ain't that far above Hughes.

Allen couldn't throw the basketball in a lake right now. Battier is a damn SF who's used to going up against the Kobe's of the world having to use every trick in the book to survive as a PF. And Cole, really?

No one is saying Lebron is dragging some group of misfits around, but his supporting cast has been average at best this series. I wish he had more MJ in him and would tell every one of them to step the fvck up or eat a dick and die.
