Going back tomorrow and I'm definitely going to get some of these things

Their pizza is very good. In Huntington Beach they have a bar with excellent beers on tap too. I rarely buy meat there because it's so expensive. Recently though they had an entire / whole fresh swordfish in the parking lot on ice and were cutting steaks off it for each customer. I couldn't resist on that one.

The Fruit and Veggies, WF's Vitamin card where you get a freebie, Free-Range Organic Whole Chickens and/or Boneless Chicken, WF Cowboy Burger Patties, Seduction Bread, Buffalo Chili, Sonoma Chicken Salad, Chantilly Cake, Pepperoni Pizza, 365 Brand Red Pepper Hummus, $3 Three Wishes wines, Navy Bean Soup, 365 Brand Ginger Cola, Yogurt Malt Ball, etc..
But, actually find most of their prepared stuff(especially their sushi and teriyaki bowls that some folks love) very overrated, also wildly inconsistent from day to day depending whom prepared it. I think Maxwell's does a much better job in this regard.

Pizza, Cali Club, Turkey brie and fig sandwich, most of the soups, and most of the desserts especially the parfaits are great.

$3 Three Wishes wines
It ain't the best, but it sure does the trick.

I don't go in much, usually just when I get off and grab something before leaving the city. The SO goes maybe once a week when she wants to. We're trying to start to grow some things so she's been learning about their seeds and whatnot.
Anyway, their pizza is good, wine selection pretty decent, housemade bread is amazing but we're staying away from excessive carbs. The salad bar and hot bar almost always have something good, as does the food in the case.
A lot of people I know don't go anymore and have nicknamed it "Whole Paycheck" and others don't like supporting a store that doesn't support the second amendment. But that's neither here nor there.
Just my $0.02.

At my local WF, the food is pretty bland.
Oh, man, I so agree. The prepared foods are all sorely lacking in seasoning. Bland city. The cheese selection is pretty ordinary compared to St James or even Martin's (and you can buy half a Mt Tam at Martin's). The prefab sushi is stupidly expensive. The noodle/rice bowls all taste the same. I can think of scores of sit down restos w/table service offering better flavor and better prices. I guess WF is selling convenience.
Got sucked in by a decent looking calzone this weekend. Again, pretty much flavorless, though it was stuffed with pepperoni and ricotta. No real taste in the crust.
I do buy the single serving cups of belgian chocolate mousse....it's a nice treat and hard to make "just a little" choc mousse at home.

Ditto, I am a frequent customer for bulk seeds and grains and usually can't resist picking up a few things, but organic bland is not for me. C'mon a little salt even would help. I am a light salter, but the deli selections have almost zero.
I think most of the customers eat with their eyes.

I've got HEB Central Market so I have no need for a WF.

I was quite surprised by the BBQ last time I went. Not saying its the best but definitely worth trying.

You can find me at the Asian bar eating cold soba noodles.

Cheese section. Beeline for the five year old gouda, a couple of other cheeses that look good, crackers, and grapes. Dinner!
I don't do this often, though, because it gets pricey.

WF's Vitamin card
This has been discontinued in the BR store.
I like the barbequed brisket, the chicken soup, beef stew, buffalo chili, beef chili, crab and butternut squash soup, smoked mozzarella and pasta salad.. to name just a few.

Cheese section.
Yep. I always go into WF with the intention of buying something, but nothing ever catches my attention. Except the cheese. Especially the little "sampler" odds and ends cheese basket. I usually grab one of everything in there.
