Looking for Cam's new offense to really highlight the skills of OBJ, Jarvis, Leslie, and Dural. Going from Les's offense to Cam's going to feel like switching from a tank to a dragster.
Huh, Les's offense? If cam is as ineffective as stud/kragthorp/crowton expect Les to get involved again. I don't expect that to happen.

I love the preseason QB + 3 or 4 receiver fap threads.

maybe the best group of receiving hands ever assembled at LSU
With all the dropsies we saw last year why would you say this?
Sure, I expect them to be improved, but this is a bold claim. Especially with Leslie unproven at LSU.

We sure have to hope the offense improves or we are in for a long season!

This group of receivers is not even in the discussion for best ever at LSU.

I definitely think this is the deepest the WR corps has been in a while, but you're right...the best is quite a bold statement.
Jarvis is a solid all-around receiver that will make the tough catches and get the tough yards.
Beckham is always one move away from taking it to the house. I'm expecting the pressure of not having to be the #1 WR this season will help his confidence and lessen his drops.
Dural is still unproven although the coaches are really high on him and he gave us a taste of his speed in the spring.
Wright and Boone have a good bit of experience.
I really liked what I saw from Diarse in the spring. He has sure hands and is difficult to bring down.
Peterson looks a little raw, but has a lot of potential.
If Leslie is half as good as we want him to be, he will only upgrade an already solid corps.
To me, the difference will be in the TE position. If any of our TEs become a consistent threat to control the middle of the field, it will only make the WR's job easier and open up more 1on1 matchups. Desean Smith may be the guy to do it.

Avery carries himself just like his brother. It was a little eerie seeing him flying around during the spring game.
Any word on him getting converted to corner???

Ehhh Landry has great hands, no doubt. But OBJ has dropped balls and we don't know anything about Leslie's ability to perform at top SEC level.
Think about Bowe, Craig Davis, Doucet, and Lafell? (yes Lafell and Bowe had drops early on, but they fixed that)

whats funny is that our last title came when we had a good offense. 07's defense wasn't as good as 06, 10, or 11 IMO

Really expecting a strong run at the national title from LSU, with this more open offense and a vastly improved receiving corp. Improved because of Cam's constant drilling of all the players in catching the ball with their hands.
Miles appears all in with this offense. The one negative that could upset Miles and force a change back to his running style? With so many different players involved catching the ball, more fumbles might occur during tackles. Miles won't stand for that.
But that isn't happening, got a good feeling about this offense, they want this on their shoulders.

I don't follow your logic.
The Saints spread the ball around probably more than any team in the NFL. Do they statistically have a higher rate of fumbles than other teams in the league?

This. I really hope we dont lose our identity. I know the Ravens and Chargers still liked to run the ball when Cam was there so that's encouraging. There's no reason for us to throw the ball more than 20-25 times a game. With Cam, it will be the situational playcalling, cleaned up and improved schemes, higher paced tempo and overall polish that will be the plus, but I hope our offense (formations, mentality, attitude) is similar to what it has been. Obviously the results havent been there, but with all of the things said above that Cam brings to the table, it should be overall vastly improved with only minor tweaks from the last few years. There's nothing better than breaking an opposing team's will in the 2nd half when they know you are going to run and they can stop it like the Oregon game from '11.
