Anyone know what they mean by limited?

Only on the nights that the kids are at the gparents. She's a screamer.

The OB is becoming more and more like the OT... maybe we can rename it O-T2?

I think you have to get permission from the original breeder or some shite.
No way I'd buy a dog with that.

They have conditions on whether or not you can breed a dog you buy from them. Most do it to protect bloodlines, and their kennel name. The ones I've encountered, you have to pay more for the dog, some stipulate that they can never be registered etc etc. Long story short, it's bullshite.

There's certain stipulations on how or when you can breed the dog or some horseshite like that.

Pay for the dog and get your papers. Make it very clear to the breeder that after you leave with the pup he has no say so on any issue involving the pup from that point forward.

The one I'm waiting on will be limited registration. Means you can't register the puppies unless the breeder gives you permission to do so, which is highly unlikely unless you breed them back with one of theirs.

Yea that'd be my approach. If they don't want my money id have no problem giving it to somebody else who did want it.
Ill be damned if I'm gonna pay a bunch of money for a dog and have to answer to somebody else before I can let it get a piece if arse.

Pretty sure they can sue you if they find out you broke the contract by breeding him later on though.

My fiance has a Rodesian(?) Ridgeback and she told me she has some bullshite like this. It is a female from a champion of champions line and they are VERY strict on who they sale to or they tell you to GFY and buy a lab...
She payed $3000 for her and the dog is spayed.....I'm not sure but I think it was in the contract to do so....will find out

My white german shepherd was what they considered "non-breeding stock."
She had light nails on her paws but was the exact same dog as the rest of the litter.
It was in the contract that we get her fixed and not breed her.

We got one at the Brevard County Humane Society just outside of Orlando Florida, $40. Bitch ate through my drywall though.

Sounds like Mineral Rights type stuff to me. You can drill for oil...but the original land owner retains some of the payment.
I'd never buy a dog with restrictions like that.

You just cant register the puppies with the AKC.

Backyard breeders. :smh: The catahoula I have, was what they called a breeders cull. Everybody thinks he's a lab because he's almost all black except his chest and paws, with brown eyes. The breeder sold him to me at a discounted price and asked that I not breed him. No contract was signed, just a please and thank you.

That's all it means. The breeder has to check off on the original papers whether you are allowed to have full registration i.e. puppies that can be registered.

This. My English Bulldog has a limited registration. I should have paid the extra $300 for a full registration. I've lost over 3k in potential stud fees

It is a catch 22 for anyone breeding because you don't want any Joe Schmo breeding, but no one likes buying a dog that has restrictions.
I say raise the price high enough that you eliminate Joe Schmos and require a recommendation from a veterinarian.
