I enjoy Liuzza's and mid city as a whole although I normally dont venture to dem' parts.
I have heard Finn's, as well as Mid city yat club are great area joints. Anything else that pops out

Mid City Yacht club is one of my favorite bars.
Taqueria Guerrero is my favorite Latin place in the city.
12 Mile Limit has arguably the best BBQ
Yangs has a solid RB po boy.
Like what crescent pie guys put out.

Katie's is obvious.
Agree with the former, not the latter. Prices are high, po-boys are skimpy IMO, service is sketchy. Not a fan.

Liuzza's and Parkway come to mind

Serendepity for drinks or dinner
Bulldog or Bayou Beer Garden for a bar. I like the shot specials at Red Door too although it can get trashy sometimes.
Katie's obviously as already mentioned. My g/f loves Santa Fe for Mexican but I wasn't impressed with the food the 2 times we ate there.
Lola's is a great hole in the wall restaurant. Authentic spanish food.
Betsy's Pancake House for breakfast

Wit's Inn
me and O Brah went to Wit's Inn on Sunday afternoon to watch some football and have a few beers. ordered a couple of pies / the bbq chicken + the hawaiian
first time I had been in a couple years .. the pies were really really good. crust was one of the best I've had in Nola. thicker and more dense than Ancora or Domenica, but with really great chew and flavor.

?
I'll say,
Bayou Beer Garden, Finn's, Bulldog for a bar
Parkway for poboys
Crescent Pie, Toups, Venezia, Lola, Witts Inn(surprassed my expectations) for mid level dining
Haven't tried Taqueria Guerrero, and the wine shop by Serendipity but hear good things.
I liked Rue 127 but haven't been since close to their opening. I may have the only good experience there of all of my friends.
