EJ's upside is tremendous, but this isn't the MLB draft. That being said, Tebow is the correct answer. If you're going to draft a QB in the 1st, he needs to at least have the potential to be a high-end starter

Seriously. Ponder is probably a better answer.

EJ

Tebow was a money machine. No matter how terrible he was he was going to generate notoriety and money

The Bills got trolled hard. No other way around in

They can come out and say "he was there guy" and all that but they panicked and got mind fricked by Jax and the Jets

1 Jacksonville
2 San Francisco
3 Philadelphia
4 Detroit
5 Cincinnati
6 Arizona
7 NY Jets
8 Tennessee

Those are the teams picking in front of Buffalo tomorrow. Telling me Geno, Barkley, Nassib or Manuel wouldn't have been there?

frick the Bills

Thats not the way you draft when it comes to quarterbacks. You either think they have it or they dont. You dont sit back and say.....Hey we are going to pick the best qb who is left when we pick.

You guys saying Tebow are off base. "College production" is a poor reason to justify that pick. It's like saying Troy Smith and Jason White would have been less of a reach than Manuel in the 1st round.

I like Tebow, but he is an absurd pick if you're looking for a long-term solution at QB. Jersey sales? Sure, but not a guy you can build your team around. You knew Tebow's ceiling was low. At least Manuel has the tools, although I still think he is a poor pick.

Tebow is not a pro style qb.

EJ is better pro prospect and has more upside than some other recent 1st rounders Gabbert, Tannehill, Ponder, and Freeman.

big man with a big arm, athletic, 68% passer, played under center, 25-6 record, 4 bowl wins, 5 star recruit who sat behind Ponder without complaining, locker room guy, etc.

He has the right disposition to grow to his potential without getting sidetracked. He's not flashy and not overly demonstrative.

I like him.

you do when you haven't been to the playoffs in 13 seasons and the last successful quarterback played 20 years ago.

The Bills just set themselves back another 3-4 years like the Jags did when they fricked up on Gabbert

I agree the pick was horrible. I was just saying it is a horrible philosophy to take when it comes to quarterbacks to just sit back and just pick the one who falls to you.

This is the correct answer and it's not debatable.

No one gives a fvck if Tebow won in college. We're not drafting for college.

haven't watched ESPN all night, but just flipped it on and McShay saying how the Bills get an F, which I can't blame him

But he says they should have taken Nassib there or someone like Eifert

I'd rather Manuel > Nassib. Sure Nassib has been in the system, but Manuel has more upside and is more athletic. You already know what you're getting with Nassib.

And with Eifert, why waste a top 16 pick on a TE when you don't have a QB to throw it to. If anything, Jarvis Jones or someone like Ogletree would have worked.

It's equivalent of trading up to draft Danny Wuerffel in top 20. And Wuerffel had more translatable skills to the NFL than Tebow.

It's just plain foolish. I'd pick Jamarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf, even Kyle Boller 10x hoping one hits his potential than draft someone with the skill set of Tebow to play NFL QB.

And I'm not a Tebow hater. It's just he's not an NFL caliber QB. Was never meant to be.
