You live in Mandeville and want you kid to go to John Curtis, move to the west bank.
You really ought to brush up on geography.

Parents should have the choice to send their kids to public school, or private school. If they want them to compete in athletics, then they have to send them to the nearest geographical private school their child is eligible to attend.
You realize these statements are contradictory, don't you?
Also, in New Orleans, there are private schools all over the place and on one block in a neighborhood you may have kids that go to Jesuit, Holy Cross, Newman, and St Aug. Because those kids kit better at those schools. Why are you so against people making their own choices about their kids education?

No one is being disallowed!
Select schools play against other select schools.
Sure, the LHSAA will screw it up, but at least you're comparing apples to apples.

So basically you don't believe in the free market. You have to give up something in order to have the freedom to choose a school. You are not allowed to live where you want and send your kid to a school that isn't in that area?
I went to Hahnville. I live in Hammond. If I want my kids to go to Hahnville, I have to move to the west bank of St Charles Parish, correct?

Not against choice. Give everyone that choice. Open admissions to all schools.

Just wait until all the Brother Martin parents find out where they have to move to send their kids there.
It's going to be hilarious when everyone from Da Parish starts buying in Mid City since Holy Cross moved there.

What is the tuition at Hahnville again?

It's already moving that way. Anyone in Oreans Parish can apply to go to Edna Karr or OP Walker, regardless of geography.
I think the Alexandria schools are set up similarly.
More school choice is better.

You're ignoring the point.

Fixed. I got all flustered bitching about Moscona.

Sorry, I was trying to make another point. No private school has had a title stripped for playing a recruited player. That is their nature. They recruit.

I'm ignoring the point that people pay to go to private schools and public school are required to have all other students in the area to come?

Did you not see that Southern Lab had a title stripped?

You're ignoring the point that private schools can obtain a competitive advantage in athletics under the auspices that "I'm paying for my kid to go there."

Wait till these people realize that Orleans has no school attendance zones and public schools recruit their asses off. I can't wait to see them cannibalize other public schools.

Yes... Dunham, St. John's of Plaquemine, St. Martin's Episcopal, Ascension Episcopal, Runnels, and Ascension Catholic are all terrors on the recruiting trail.
If you don't want to come off as much as an idiot, at least say that Evangel and Curtis recruit rather than tarring every private school.

This isn't about free or paid education.
It is about choosing to go to a particular school, for whatever reason, instead of the public school where you are zoned.

So you don't believe in private industry? You think the state has to control everything?

Can you answer the question why you are so obsessed with high school sports? Thanks
