Leveling kit

I am getting a 2013 z71 tahoe. I want to level the front and want to keep the best ride quality I can. Are there any leveling kit you guys would suggest? I don't want the front to sit higher than the rear so I will go with 1.5 or 2 inches in the front and leave the rear stock.

I dont know from experience, but i was researching the same thing yesterday. I concluded i will get the rough country 2". Probably will do it myself, and they're only like $70

Measure from middle of rim to top of fender on front and back to see exactly what size you need. Just remember a 2"
Leveling kit raises a little more than 2"

Not sure about the tahoes, but generally the chevy 1/2 ton trucks need 2" and fords need 3" to get them level. I could see the tahoes sitting a little lower in the back from the extra wieght though, not sure.
Ive never had one change my ride though so you should be safe there with any decent kit.

OP, I think the front leveling kits are pretty standard. Its just a spacer that goes over the springs if I recall correctly.
I think this is what youre looking for.

Is it a 4x4? I know its a matter of opinion, but I always raise my front end on a 4x4 to level it and I prefer to drop the rearend on a 2x4 for leveling them. Just an idea, of course both are fine.

Me and a buddy put mine on. First side took an hour second one 10 minutes lol. Once you figure it out its easy.

I put a spacer kit on the front of a friends Tacoma and the kit also included a differential drop. The leveling kit over stretched the CV shafts and the differential had to be lowered to take the tension off of it. You may want to double check it.
And CB is right. They stopped using torsion bars when they redesigned it in 2007.

Auto spring leveling kits off eBay. Had them in both my trucks and they're awesome. Pretty inexpensive as well

This is my 4x4 Yukon with a 1.5" leveling kit. It's just about perfectly level. The tires are BFG A/T 285/55R20. Be thankful you will have 18's on the Z-71 Tahoe - I nearly had to take out a loan to pay off the tires. The other option is to put a 2.5" front & 1" rear lift to fit full 33x12.50" tires, but that was overkill for my needs.

That truck looks exactly what I want. That is just 1.5 inch in the front with no rear lift? I know about the tires, 18's are still expensive but 20's are ridiculous.
What kit did you use? how is the ride? Also I have been told that I should go with a load C or D tire as a load E will make the ride rough.....you have any advice on that?
I know ready lift makes a 1.5 inch,,,its $330

I want to say it's made by Pro Comp. As far as I understand they're all basically the same. Mine was expensive because I live in Shreveport and there are only 3 shops that carry lift/leveling kits and they're all high priced. I paid $350 for the kit and installation and had it aligned elsewhere.

There were very few tire choices for my size; I went back and forth between the BFG and the Cooper Zeon LTZ which was a lot cheaper. I went BFG because I've had them on all my trucks and they last a long time. I had E rated 305/65R18's on my F-150 and they were fine on there, but that's a lot more heavy duty than a Tahoe. I'm sure there are good D rated choices in whatever size you choose.

Unfortunately in 285/65/18 there are no C/D load tires. They are all load E. I guess its a weird size, I am going to go down to a 275/65.....are your tires load D?

That tahoe is perfect. I was looking at a 275/60r20 to replace the 55's.
Why'd you go with the 285s? Just wondering. BIG price difference.

Yeah mine are D rated. And even thought they're only an inch taller and wider they killed my gas mileage - down about 2 MPG highway. I had the speedometer re-calibrated at the dealer for $50 and I've double checked it with GPS.
No, not that I can tell. I had it done a week after I bought the car so I don't remember much, but it rides just fine.
