No interest in building, would be looking for pre built. I’m assuming I wouldn’t be able to find one for under $1k that would run it smoothly

You would be much better off building, as what you're looking for is fairly niche. With that said, I think something like this would work and would be (barely) within budget:

ASUS - ROG Gaming Desktop - Intel Core i7-13700F - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 - 512GB SSD - Black

Best Buy says that a 3060 GPU is “high end”

I’d want at least 12600. Also that PC comes with a super low end Intel GPU …. I’d definitely want something better than that. Intel is very new to making GPUs and they are still working out their drivers.

Nop.

This will probably work, but keep your receipt:

iBUYPOWER - TraceMesh Gaming Desktop – Intel Core i5-13400F – 16GB Memory – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 8GB – 500GB NVMe - Black

Need me to spec you out a boring greybox so your wife is less likely to give you side eye and ask how much you spent?

Recently rebuilt my PC into my Hyte Revolt 3 case which comes with a 700w PSU... Was in the middle of playing pubg last night and it brought my computer down completely.

The PSU was HOT, and it refuses to boot at all. Got an Asus AP201 case coming in tomorrow that works with my Seasonic Focus plus 850w, so we'll see what the problem actually is

Welp, looks like it's either the mobo or CPU that died.

Plugged my 8600k setup to the same PSU in the Revolt and it booted right up

Y'all let me know if my theory is right or not. Trying to figure out what died

Got everything hooked up, getting absolutely zero boot, like press the power button and nothing at all happens (short the power button pins and using case power button). Clear CMOS button on the back of my ASRock Z690itx/tb4 lights up when there's power connected to mobo, but does nothing.

I'm thinking the mobo is shot since I'm getting absolutely nothing at boot

If you're getting nothing nothing and you know it's not your PSU, I would say either connectors (if you didn't use the same ones when you tested the other platform), or yeah, board.

Think I'm gonna grab that new Alienware QD-OLED 1440p 360Hz monitor that just dropped at CES last week. LINK

Looks like the perfect blend of everything anyone could want out of a monitor.

3rd gen Samsung QD-OLED panel, highest OLED refresh rate on market, semi glossy screen no matte coating, true 10 bit color. $899 seems like a good price for what you are getting in addition to the 3 year warranty that covers burn in.

I'm UW4lyfe, but if you are looking for standard ratio and have a use for that high of a refresh rate, then yeah, looks very solid.

Yeah UW is not for me. I play way too much competitive and very little single player so pushing refresh rate is up there among main things. I'd still buy it at 240 though but not below that.

I really want it as well, but don’t need it quite yet. Going to watch and hope other OLED releases drive it down a couple hundred bucks over the next 6 months or so.

New mobo and she booted right on up

Going to try to see if I can get this old mobo revived somehow since I have DDR5 RAM and a Celeron G6900 lying around

So, even if I wanted to get a 4080 Super (not saying I do, but I thought about it), I can't because no one has them at launch.

ETA: I got to nvidia.com and its asking for a microsoft login. Do I have a virus?
