the top 3 is indisputable if you are considering a whole career. tebow and leinart played 3 full years as a starting qb, and i believe VY played about 2.5 seasons.
cam is tough to rank because he only played one year, but that season was probably the single best.
the whole "leinart benefited from surrounding talent" is garbage. so did dorsey, mccarron, mcelroy etc. compare leinart's career numbers to those guys and leinart's numbers are far better. VY and tebow had a ridiculous amount of talent around them as well.

same number of QBs on the list as your shite school

Tebow was a part of 2 NC teams, but he only "led" the gators to 1 IMO.
VY has an undefeated season on his resume, and Tebow doesn't. I think it's close, but I don't think the first NC should be given very much weight. He was a fullback that season. Ryan Perilloux was more important to the LSU NC the next season, but nobody will ever say RP "led" LSU to the 2007 NC.
This talking down Tebow in his first year has gotten to be dumb conventional wisdom but is incredibly wrong.
Tebow was an absolutely essential part of the 2006 championship and probably the team's most valuable player. He was second on the team in rushing, scored two TDs in the BCS championship game, against Tennessee he rallied the team to their go ahead score, and against LSU he accounted for all three of their touchdowns.
His accomplishments for the following three years (2007-2009) are simply monumental. He broke Herschel Walker's TD records, setting records for passing efficiency, and was quite simply an absolute beast for FOUR years of college play.
FWIW, one guy I don't like but would have to mention for the same reasoning as Cam Newton is Michael Vick. I guess maybe some people around here are a little too young to remember but watching him almost single handedly win a national championship in 1999 was mind boggling. He went up against a collection of some of the best college talent you will ever see on those FSU teams and held that team close for around three quarters.
My top four would probably be:
1) Tebow
2) Vince Young
3) Cam Newton
4) Michael Vick

great point. I never understood why sucking in the pros should have any bearing on a players college career. Leinart was awesome in college...he's not the only guy that didn't pan out. VY, Tebow, Weinke, wuerffel etc. the list goes on and on but for whatever reason Leinart never seems to get any credit from many CFB fans.

Agree with your list for the most part but I would replace Brennan with Leinart. Brennan put up great numbers against garbage competition. Say what you want about Leinart but he was the starting QB for one of the greatest offensive units in the history of college football (2003-2005 USC). He has to be in the top 12. I would also put Pat White or Eli Manning on the list ahead of Kellen Moore. Moore was a good QB but I believe the Chris Petersen system made him look better than he really was. He also played against really putrid competition except for one or two times every year.

Leinart was awesome in college but he was overshadowed while on the field by the other players around him. It would be wrong to leave him off the list but I don't know where I rank him compared to say Peyton Manning, Danny W, etc

if grading by college career only.... 1. leinart 2. wuerffel 3. manning
all 3 guys were surrounded by talented skill players

is that why he won a heisman in 2004, before any of those teammates that overshadowed him?

I guess you think Mike Alstott is one of the all time great NFL RBs?
In all seriousness, I can't believe you just tried to say a guy whose only role on the team was to come in and gain one yard was the MVP of a national title team.
ETA: The most valuable player on the team had less than 500 yards offense vs. SEC and FSU in 10 games and almost 1/5 of that was against UK.
31 total yards in the SECCG
3 total yards against FSU
29 yards agains So. Car
36 yards against UGA
18 yards against Auburn
40 total yards in the NC
His two standout performances a whopping 29 yard effort against Tenn. and brace yourself.... 71 yards vs. LSU!
Where would Florida have been without this production?! Clearly he led the team to the title in 2006 and was the MVP.

Uh, I think it's implied that a full career weighs into this.
Cam Newton's single season at Auburn was better than most guy's careers.

Tebow scored 13 touchdowns on the 2006 Florida team in absolutely crucial situations that won them games. He was not a bit player, he was an essential part of their success. FWIW I do get annoyed with people who pretend he did nothing in 2006... IMO most of those tend to be butt-hurt LSU fans who are just mad about him beating us three of the four years he was there.

Agreed.
Leinart was fricking awesome in college as the main cog behind that 34 game win streak. He knew how to spread the ball around and get it to the playmakers...he ran Chow's O great. Leinart and Tebow are up for players of the decade.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is just spouting USC sour-grapes.
(and he audibled and threw the perfect pass in one of the plays of the decade... 4th and 9

And didn't JFF break some of Cam's records in one season? As a freshman?
