Was scared to go out any further out than north shore of lake eloi my first few times out. Open water everywhere, looked and felt so small. Scared I was going to get lost or boat would break down out there. So would just turn around and fish in marsh closer to marina where other boats were.

I blew up my brother's muzzle bore sight using my SKS by pulling the trigger with it still in the muzzle.

Thank God the Flash suppressor was vented.

I missed a 6x6 bull with a muzzleloader straight on @ 60 yards. Tried to get cute and shoot it in the neck..... should've gone for the chest

I was running jug lines with my buddy at my old camp drinking whiskey. Had a pile of catfish in the back of the boat. Stood up to get out of the boat and lost my balance and fell upon the pile of catfish impaling one into my back. Cut off barb with pliers, bit on a towel and pulled it out. Cleaned it with leftover whiskey...like a boss.

-launched boat without the plug in
-missed a turkey at 15 yards (still today i'm not sure what happened)
-every season my mississippi deer limit tends to stretch a bit
-buried a few teal when the big ducks showed up
-may or may not have started gun season early a time or two

The secret is to do it waaaay before the season. Right before the season people may get suspicious of the shots. Nobody cares about a shot in August, even if it's dark.

Whew, I was afraid you'd posted that the turtle in your avy wasn't really one you'd caught.

No, I catch plenty of those, staying within the limit of course.

The close shots are tougher than the longer shots. It's easier to connect with a pattern the size of a 12" pie plate than a pattern the size of racquet ball. Made this mistake a few times and try not to let them get closer than 20 yards or so if possible.

Forgot all about this. Was first time out in my new to me first ever bass boat. Did this at bayou pigeon. Water was coming over the back deck to the seats and floor. Wife was crying, I was freaking out. Some nice guy came up beside us and swapped out boats. I took his back to launch and he took mine up and down the bayou trying to get water to drain. Got enough where we were able to get it on trailer and six guys had to sit on back of truck cause we sliding down ramp. Was so embarrassed. Said I was going home to sell it and never get another boat again.

Well that was about sixteen years and 5 boats ago.

Was riding around all day without the plug in on our whaler and nothing came of it. I was just like. Why's the bilge still on?

I don't/can't drink while fishing or while in a boat. I get sea sick.

I got caught drinking and fornicating with a lady by a state park ranger in Hatchers Pass, north of Anchorage. 3 different times, twice in a company van (unmarked) while fishing in the Little Su River.

The first time he was a bit pissed (or acted like it) but the next two he was a bit amused. He said I would get a letter explaining my banning from the area, but I never did.
