Hook me up M/TV. Breaking Bad or Mad Men?

Me and the missus have ripped through Fringe and gotten current on Walking Dead over the last couple months. Looking for something solid to marathon on until GOT fires up
Havent seen a single episode of either of these series before. I know there are big fans of both. So which one. BB or MM?

Breaking Bad.
Then Mad Men.

Breaking bad without a doubt

Mad Men for better writing, Breaking Bad for better characters. Both are about equal in quality, though.

Mad Men is an infinitely better show than Breaking Bad.
That being said, Breaking Bad is incredibly good. I've never watched a show where all but one of the main characters are huge pieces of shite.

Breaking Bad, best show ever except for maybe The Wire.

Breaking Bad is a better show (IMO the best drama ever), but you MIGHT be able to catch up in time for season 6 (~60 episodes in ~3 weeks is a lot but it's an addictive show, plus you could DVR the new episodes and give yourself extra time). Breaking Bad new episodes are still a good ways off.

Damn. Didn't think it'd be this much of a consensus
Breaking Bad here we go

Can't go wrong either way. My wife prefers mad men though.

I watched season 1 of mad men, and I just could not get into it. Does the show get better or more of the same?

Mad Men is not for everybody. It took me most of season 1 to get hooked, but I consider it just as good as breaking bad.

Both. Mad Men is just as good as BB.
But start with Mad Men since the new season starts in 3 weeks. Then you can watch BB while awaiting the new GOT and MM each week.

Which you'll do the same with BB and have to wait months with the itch that most of us have been having since the midseason break. Just something to consider.
