I'm sure he was talking about base hits too.. which obviously the runner going on contact is safe.

But the runner is out most of the time on balls stopped by an infielder.

Well if you are going on contact, you have no idea if it will be a hit or an out.

This team is so well rounded. It's going to be hard to beat LSU when the starters go 7 innings and leave with the lead.
