Well, at least it levels things out a little bit?

Not that I'm totally against the spirit of the rule changes, but there are so many that either the game will be too bogged down with penalties OR players are going to constantly hesitate to make a play.
Either way we get a shittier product.

I mean half the guys run normally at a low forward angle, you're going to see an assload more lower extremity injuries if guys are running through the line upright.

They should all just do it anyway, if they all do it the NFL won't do shite.

Probably, my real problem is the multitude of rules. You're starting to see DBs acclimate to the defenseless receiver/launching rules, now runningbacks who have guys running at them have to be conscious not to lower their head. How can players be expected to do this in a split second with all that is going on in a play.
I'm sticking to it, the NFL will be in sharp decline in 10-20 years and you can look back to this period as the beginning
Lockout
Bounties
Rule changes
Unfair penalties against multiple organizations that literally defy reason

Everyone start picking up another sports (hockey, soccer, etc.) because the NFL won't be watchable in ten years.

You read my mind. That's what I was about to say. It should work both ways. If the NFL is going to handcuff defensive players with all of these rules to protect offensive players, they shouldn't allow offensive players to get away with the things that defensive players aren't allowed to do.

There was a guy named Charlie Tolar who lowered his helmet as soon as he took the hand off.
