Apparently he has his grades in order and is attempting to enroll this year. Do we still use the scholly on him or save it for the loaded 2014 class?

Use it on him. I'm a fan of honoring your commitment plus he is a real good player.

I doubt we add him at this point, as they said we'd lose 2 spots next year, if we took another. He might sit out, or go to prep and early enroll for next year, but I think he ends in JUCO.

Cutrer doesn't have them in order, yet. He still needs to get a 19 on the ACT to qualify.

I know you can get out of a LOI if the coach is cool with it. Which most are because they don't wanna force a kid to stay when he doesn't wanna.

Fisrt of all, yes because he's a good player. Secondly, yes because my first cousin is married to one of his family members. Okay i'm biased .

My son who is not an honor grad or anything like that made a 17 on the ACT in the seventh grade. Also I thought you had to have a 24 or 25 to get into LSU...

(Thank God he does not have to take the Wonderlic)

This. Once LSU had to place him, it should be understood that if he gets his stuff in order during the summer, it would be to grayshirt, because they had to replace him in the signing class.

I don't think you can add him to the class because, like somebody said, you lose two spots next year. Grayshirt and take him as the the fourth and final safety in the 2014 class (I'm counting Paris, but maybe I shouldn't).

This all assumes he busts that 19 or 20.

If he were do get a 19 or 20 on the ACT, do we know for sure he wants to bypass a year at MSGC?

That would be an option, for sure. But if I'm him, I'd take six hours at either SLU (for a close commute from home) or a cheap juco, work out like a mad man, and come ready to contend for "true" freshman playing time in the spring of 2014.

An even better reason to use it is because Cutrer was the lone true safety recruit for LSU, until the academic concerns surfaced. With Reid going pro a year early & Loston being a senior this season, that is a definite need & surely the Tigers would hope to sign at least one true safety each year.

Just hope he can take the test soon & get approved by the slow operating NCAA Clearing House in time to report for fall drills in August.

How can they add him without going over the 25? Don't think they can. They've signed their limit per SEC rules.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here.

I think he would have to go JUCO or take a grayshirt.
