...With Bale and Cavill, too.
Holy fricking shite. If true, this could be legendary. And from the article, it looks like the guys who broke this have an amazing track record.

I really hope this is all true but I am skeptical

I am absolutely praying that this happens.
I believe that DC has better characters compared to Marvel. Those characters will finally be getting the treatment they deserve.
Dear god please let this happen. Major wood when this is confirmed once and for all.

Though his premise of how they'd meet is pretty flimsy. I won't hold it against him...

I did see this, however, Latino Review just had a big miss on the Planet Hulk/Avengers 3 rumor. I hope this comes to fruition, but with characters like Green Lanteren and The Flash, lets hope they go a little more sci-fi..

I def. read/watched it with a raised eyebrow, but the argument is sound, and as mentioned above, they correctly called a bunch of crazy shite in the past. Lets hope they're right again here.

If this is true, Man of Steel must really be as good as rumored. Holy shite WB is just saying frick it and making sure this is a hit.
Good for them. If true..

Batman>>>>>anything marvel
+ 1 for every marvel character ever written
ETA: That was a bit harsh likely due to not having my morning coffee yet. I do enjoy most of Marvel's comics and movies, but I'm a Batman fan from childhood.

Batman and Superman trump anything Marvel has ever put out. The only other character that challenges those two, popularity wise, is Spider-Man.
ETA: I'm excited and am praying this is true.

I like iron man because his story is close enough to batman's.

As much as I want WB do undertake JL, I don't want Bale to be a part of it. Not that he couldn't have been Wayne/Batman prior to Nolan's universe, but he really can't be now. The suggestion at the end that he'd come out of retirement AGAIN is just stupid. The guy could barely walk.
Nah...they need to reboot Bats with another actor in a universe that could support the JL and the fantastic things that could happen in it. Nolan's universe just doesn't support that. And Nolan's Bat would be more useless in it than Black Widow standing next to Thor.
I would support Nolan Godfathering the whole thing though...just not using what he's already done with Bats. Plus...I was never a huge Bale as Batman fan anyway.

Couldn't the JL movie just take place in between Begins and before DK/DKR?

I'm torn. On one hand this is a complete knock out of the park lineup if true. On the other hand, how does this affect TDKR and Nolan's trilogy?
Also, I was ready for a different interpretation of Batman, preferably a hyper paranoid, brilliant and worlds's greatest detective version.

That would completely undermine the entire theme of seclusion and searching for death that Wayne was suffering prior to climbing out of the pit. Also, being "out of the game" for eight years is what made him vulnerable both mentally and physically to Bane.

If we're talking pure popularity, yeah those are up there. There's a massive drop-off after Batman though. DC has some great topline characters, but most of their secondary and tertiary characters stink (there are some needles in the haystack though).
But talking pure popularity is dumb. Also, yeah Batman is the great superhero of all-time, no doubt about that, but having to immediately put it in terms of "Batman >>>>>>> Marvel," is equally dumb.
This thread is about Justice League, which....
Would never ever work in Nolan's universe. It just doesn't support it.
