As much as the ESPN loves idol gossip, it seems like they would be all over this story

The Same ESPN that forced a undeserved Mulligan for one of their darlings? Fat chance.

The same ESPN that helped another darling's player by lying about a non-existent girlfriend to help garner Heismann votes? Fat chance.

Face it, CFB is as close to the WWF as you can get now. The sooner you people here embrace the reality and get comfortable with it, the happier you will be.

these need to be junked in favor of as true a round robin as can be produced. that is the ONLY fair way to do it.
The SEC is not about fairness, it is about Alabama. That's why the league office must be moved out of AL and rotated among the other 12 schools, other twelve because Auburn is in AL also. 3 years in each state in the league. Would give 36 years before it got back to bama. Then listen to the whinning, the sour grapes and the cries of bias coming out of Tuscaloosa.

Just curious. But has Georgia or Florida whined about this? I don't imagine Georgia would. They got us instead of Alabama.

I really don't care. Nothing you can do about it, so turn it into a positive. Going to be some good games this year.

Scheduling sucks I agree. However, the bottom line is Alabama wins football games no matter the schedule. LSU had them right where they wanted them in 2012. That's not a blatant scheduling bias but it was a blatant coaching collapse by LSU on the play calling. Hopefully a new OC will change all that even w the most immobile QB in Div. 1 football heading into 2013 season. Maybe we'll use the wildcat and get some of our more versatile QB's on the field to help secure TD's instead of FG's. Alabama is rolling right now w players, coaches, and (unfortunately) biased scheduling. Agreed!

They've been winning with consistently easier schedules. So there's no way to know if they'd keep winning at their current clip with a schedule on par with ours. I doubt it.

The long term issue of permanent opponents--again done on Bamas behalf--will remain even after the temporary schedule

They could solve the permanent schedule by moving TN to the West and Auburn to the East.

About the penalties. Hama was ranking 6th in fewest penalties per game LSU was ranked 102. I think that speaks to coaching more than some Conspiracy

How can you possibly reach this conclusion? WE BEAT THEM!!! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR DAMN SKULL!!! WE BEAT THEM, WE WERE THE BETTER TEAM, AND WE PROVED IT IRREFUTABLY ON THEIR FIELD!!! AND BECAUSE THEY WERE BAMA, IT DID NOT MATTER!!!!

When Bama beats a team, then it's, "Alabama wins football games no matter the schedule." When Bama loses to a team, then it's, "Alabama wins football games no matter the schedule."

When LSU beats Bama, then it's, "So what? Bama gets another chance because they're Bama." When LSU loses to a team, then it's, "LSU was exposed."

How can you possibly turn BEATING BAMA ON THEIR HOME FIELD into some kind of trashing of our coaches? They coached circles around Saban & crew in 2011. They marched into Bryant Denny, with the biggest and most fired up crowd in Bama history, and beat them in front of their own fans. Bama couldn't beat us that year without two chances against Jordan Jefferson. Give me a coach that can walk in and beat the other guy on his own field on the first try, and you can keep the dude who has to be handed a second chance "do over" after he clusterfricks away his shot at home.

I think it's a resonably certain assuption that the Red Devils having won 3 out of the last 4 National Championships has a tad more to do with superior coaching, preparation, organization and game management than cheating.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight..... McCoy getting knocked out of the game very early in '09 and being replaced with a redshirt freshman that had never started a game (no pressure, it's only the national championship), getting granted a do-over (even though they were beaten at home) that no other college team would've been granted all stems from "superior coaching and preparation." They have the refs, at least one crew who shall remain nameless but those who know, know who I'm talking about.

The one legit one they got was this past year.

Don't know if you were serious or sarcastic but this is it in a nutshell. The media just loves them. That's garbage. It's not fair for any other team in the SEC.

2012 game was in Tiger Stadium that we blew in the end of the halves. You're ranting about 2011.

Keep Auburn where they are and move Bama to the East, move Mizzou to the West. I mean geographically, they're literally the state above Arkansas (which is in the West). Bama would have the all important 3rd Saturday in October, they can still play Auburn (a team from the west), they'll have to play Florida, USCe and UGA every year. They'll have one more team from the West to play and it would be us.

Makes sense to me.

The Rematch could completely change the mindset of this team, they laid an egg due to a bullshite system.

They need to do away with cross division rivals. I could care less who other teams play. I just want a better rotation of schools.

Look at the bright side... if LSU wins out with a schedule like theirs, they will no doubt be in the NC picture. Hell... with one loss they may be there!
