So at least we can pretend the rant likes facts over unsubstantiated opinion...

How dare you post actual stats. The ranters will have to get out their slide rulers and pocket protectors. Look what you have done.

Sooo, he sucks?
A science lab Frankenstein-esque creation of half Bill Walsh and half Sean Payton couldn't have gotten any production out of that sad arse group of so called offensive players in Miami in 2007.

Top half of the league in points every year as an OC except his first year. I'll take it.

So playing against college defenses is like playing against Cleveland every game?

Well...
During his 10 years as an offensive coordinator in the NFL, his average team points scored is 10th.
This suggests to me that this would be an outstanding hire...especially considering that he broke in two new quaterbacks during those 10 years...

That year does stand out in a bad way. Man, Saban really left the cupboard bare in Miami when he left.

Cleo lemon stared multiple games for the dolphins that year. That is enough to pardon Cameron for that year.

Interesting to compare the Rushing rankings to the Passing rankings, on the teams he's coached.

Are you positive that they even know what that is, much less know how to use one.

He would be an awesome hire. His pedigree alone is impressive and make our SEC opponents have to prepare for something they have not seen before.

It started way before him. Jimmy Johnson loaded them with defensive talent and it eroded horribly under Wannstedt and Rick Spielman.
But that's another conversation for a Dolphins forum...

no doubt. just being a little snarky.

Such as? Play action?

Also, don't forget that his average starting QB in his 10 years as an offensive coordinator had 3.2 years of NFL experience and 2.9 years of coordinator experience. He's had Brees, Rivers, and Flacco in their early development stages.
The interesting stats on profootballreference are the percentile ranks, where is is VERY good. One thing that his offenses do is protect the football extremely well, which is probably the most important offensive stat other than points scored.

Only thing I don't like about this hire is he will stay at LSU 2 years MAX with any kind of success. If he isn't successful, Miles isn't going to make a move on his buddy.
NFL coordinator coming in is nice but some guys can't coach college kids. Some OCs try to force their philosophy on these guys and it's too complex for them to understand with little adjustments to strength. That's what I'm worried about...

But he's been a college OC and HC as well, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
