go watch a JP district game and then go to a Catholic League game next season
Same thing in Baton Rouge. Same thing for a lot of the schools in St Landry Parish. There are plenty of public schools that don't draw worth a shite.

I'm sure no politics will come into play at all.

A 90 team private school league in all sports would be very expensive and not convenient for private schools. Teams would be spread out all over the state. North LA has fewer private schools and they are more spread out if I am not mistaken.
I see a smaller assoc. that includes the Catholic League, Orleans Parish Schools, and the private schools like Curtis, Newman, etc. The question is, the one OP Walkers coaches were asking, would the Jefferson Parish public schools join?

FWIW I hope this happens frick Curtis and Evangel
meh. If all the New Orleans area private schools gave the finger to the public schools, then they'd be fine.
And if this lumps charters in with the private schools, then there is certainly no problem.

I hope every private school in the state turns up the recruiting to 11 and just goes balls to the wall on it.

I don't think there is any doubt recruiting is about to go up.

hmmmm... St. Fred's or Ouachita Parish?
Crescent City vs. East Jeff?
St. Louis vs. Sulphur?
it's not going to affect the good public school programs

They can turn people away and they can let in whoever they like. Public schools do not have that option.

Crescent City? Seriously, that's who you went with?
Actually, the school I'd really like to see step it up is St Thomas Aquinas. Every single Tangi school voted for the split. Every one of them.
And all the smaller privates schools in the smaller towns, OC, SHVP, Wesminster, St Eds, just start turning up the heat. They are some of the ones getting fricked the most with this.

good public school >>>>>>> shitty small private school

I just talked to a coach at one of the small 2A schools that are "at the center of the issue" and he said that he believes the private schools will break away from the association soon to start their own. Now the question is who will be in charge of the association and will any private schools get left out? He said should a school like the one he is at gets left out, they would most likely just move to a national schedule. Interestingly enough, that may actually boost their state and national image.

Joining in late. Split in all sports or football only? Sorry. Been in an interview all day.

Everything stays the same except football playoffs.
So Uhigh would play West Fel in district, and then Rummel in the playoffs. Fairness!

Wow, that's dumb as hell.
