Seems to be the consensus of the "Callers for change" Excuse me, but didnt we blow leads via inept defense in the waining seconds of both signature losses?

Couldn't scoring more make it where the defense doesn't have to be perfect at the end of every game? Dumbass

Sweet God, this is so stupid!!! The Bama game is what it is, they stepped up and made one more play.
The other 2 games were a direct correlation to our offense going 3 and out consitently and hanging our defense out to dry!! It almost happened in the Auburn and Arky games as well...if you can't see that then you're just completely inept as a fan!!

Take a look at LSU's total offense rank vs total defense rank.

Two go hand in hand. Offense failed at the end of both games just as the defense.

In losses to UF and CLemson, LSU had 419 yards of total offense combined.

Against UF 1-13 on third down and a total of 8 first downs

Against Clemson 3-13 and 9

VS Bama, the offense was an anomaly. Best offense of the year but failed to put pts on the board that could have iced the game. Bama game was a totally different offensive effort.

Maybe if we scored more than 17 and 24 points we wouldnt have to worry when the defense makes one mistake or two.

The Alabama game was disheartening, whatever, but scoring 24 on Clemson was embarrassing. They held us to what, 8 or 9 three and outs? That's pathetic. And you want to blame defense?

Bama was a great game. Offense played great and the defense did also. Losing that game isn't shameful.

Clemson- you really going to blame the defense for losing the lead after the offense had 7-8 3 and outs and d played over 100 plays?

UF- offense lost that game

UF and Clemson games the defense was on the field for 100 plays or more...

Both games could have been won with an average offensive output...

Bama game was 6 yds from running the clock out and taking a knee...

Hey, genius ... do you think that maybe if the defense wasn't gassed and tired as hell from being out on the field too damn much due to 3 & OUT's all day long from the offense ... they might play better at the end of games?

Our D was friggin' tired at the end of the UF game and the Clemson game.

The 3 and outs from the offense didn't help the stamina at the end of those games for our defense.

Please forgive me ... but I must ask ... do you even watch the games ... or perhaps just the final 5 minutes or just the highlights?

scoring more and not putting our defense in a vice every play would be wise don't you think.

If you want true balance in football then you should have balance of OFFENSE aka scoring points, special teams, defense.

The past year it's been 10% offense 60% defense
30% special teams.

It really comes down to this:

The defense could get better and should certainly try to be a more dominant unit, but it is undeniable - utilizing any reasonable objective or subjective form of evaluation - that the defense was good this year, more or less as it has been for a number of years.. The offense, on the other hand, has been downright bad.

We had less than a 100 yards of offense in the biggest game in LSU history.

We had 200 yards of offense and 8 three and outs against a below average Clemson defense.

Do you really think the O is good to go

Because the offense couldn't stay on the field and wore our d out. See the top on the Clemson and UF games. It was the opposite for the Bama game. Poor play calling lost us that one.

Today's ATL - SEATTLE game is a prime example.

Team comes back and finds a way to get the lead---THAT IS WHAT THE OFFENSE DOES.....THE DEFENSE PROTECTS THE LEAD BY DENYING THE OPPOSING OFFENSE.

The "if we did this than the game would have unfolded a certain way" is moronic crap. People who think this way are those guys turning their beer bottle labels in the BL commercial.

Couldnt the offense win the game for the defense for once? I would bet the chief would like that for once.

It doesn't help when you're on the field so much
