Anyone else a fan on stale popcorn? I love it

Don't know that I have a favorite brand. I prefer popcorn popped on the stove to microwave, but I have no problem eating microwaved.
Toppings - parmesan cheese is my fave. Sprinkling Tony's on it also works for me, as does cinnamon sugar. Not the Tony's and cinnamon sugar together, of course.

Every once in while, I buy one of those foil popping pans. What was that brand? I bought several a few years ago for entertainment. As a child, watching that foil expand was like magic before my very eyes.
It's Jiffy Pop.

Sometimes I like stale popcorn. I also like to crunch on the old maids.

My favorite is the one where someone asks "would you like some popcorn", then brings me a bowl.

I understand (sort of) the attraction of microwave popcorn but no way it can equal stove top.
i've recently come around to this. when i was really young, we had some kind of contraption that made popcorn on the countertop. it had a clear plastic side, where you could watch the corn pop. endless entertainment for a small child. but after it broke, it was microwave popcorn from there on out.
last year i started making it on the stove top on a whim, and there is no going back for Mrs. Vedder and I.

Stove top, throw some jalapeños into the preheated oil for a min followed by a ridiculous amount of garlic cloves. The trick is to cook the garlic just long enough that when you add the popcorn and it's done popping the garlic is fabulously crunchy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. Trust me it's not as easy as it sounds, I've ended up with quite a few batches that went straight in the garbage. After popping throw some Parmesan cheese on there and it's FDB worthy.

In high school I worked at a movie theater. Free popcorn all shift. It was awesome but eventually got tired of it

Microwave popcorn
The only way to go is stovetop with fresh ground pink Himalayan salt. Cook in 100% vegetable oil.
