No way, because I honestly believe Louisville had a chance going into this game. Not saying I expected them to win, but I definitely could see it happening.
Bridgewater is the truth and I knew Florida's offense struggles. It's worse than LSU and yes I know they won h2h at home.

Yep, Utah over Bama. However, it was the biggest upset in BCS history for a game played last night.... That's just ESPN trying to draw attention to itself.

West Virginia beating Georgia in the Sugar Bowl seemed like a bigger upset at the time than its viewed now
that team would smoke the rest of these "upset" teams

Pat White and Steve Slaton were no names going into that game.
not to people who paid attention to football outside the SEC

Utah was undefeated an finished number 2, so no.

Against the spread, ESPN is right

Agree, both in points spread and ranking separation.
21 over 3 is a pretty big upset.

the ESPN rule:
If it just happened, it's the biggest ever
don't buy their crap, geesh people

I disagree. Utah over bama. Boise over Oklahoma. Tonight's game was big, but the biggest? No.
Louisville was a bigger underdog than both Utah and Boise State according to the Vegas wise guys. Also, both Utah and Boise State were undefeated, and Utah was only ranked two spots behind Alabama while Boise State was actually ranked two spots ahead of Oklahoma. Utah's win over Alabama was defintely the most dominant performance in BSC buster history because the Utes mauled the Tide in the trenches, they didn't out-finesse them.

Nah. I think at the time, Boise St was probably the biggest b/c of the mid-major thing.
I agree. Boise St.

Florida struggle against Mizzou and Louisiana. Louisville is way better than Mizzou and Louisiana. I don't see why people thought UF would walk all over Louisville.

they weren't the first non-BCS team to win a BCS bowl though, so that argument doesn't work

and Bama had their best o lineman suspended
This had nothing to do with it. Bama was mentally checked out. We finished the year on our 4th string QB that year and destroyed GT.

Because Louisville lost to a crappy Connecticut team and close to losing to a very bad Florida International team.

I guess that's what's happen when the media pumps up a team and people go off rankings. I knew UF wouldn't walk all over Louisville because of the teams Florida struggle against.
