Les gives stud a list of plays for that game's script on Tuesday and Wednesday..and Stud calls from that list. Everyone wants a new OC. If LSU got Kevin Sumlin and Mike Leach as Co-OC's the offense would still look the EXACT same. Stud simply calls plays from a list provided by CLM. Not hating on Miles, im simply saying that a changing of OC's will yield little difference if any in the scheme. Bowling Green didnt have this scheme when Stud was there.

So you also read that when another poster said the same thing without any evidence to support it? You sure paid close attention, because you almost repeated it verbatim.

Playcalling just sucks for the past however many years.

Tough to call plays when your QB can't complete a long pass. Or a short pass.

Assuming you know what you are talking about, whose decision is it to throw 3 times with 2:43 left and all you need is to run clock get a first down and you win the game? Who makes that decision?

Explain 2007 then, Mr. Know it all.
Also, I highly doubt you have sources... every swinging dick on here claims to have "sources". My sources say you are all full of shite.

Yes, and Clemson had a copy of the list. We've been runnung the same plays for 5 years.

Yeah, but if Stud has the choice between running on 2nd and 2 or passing on 2nd and 2 and he chooses the latter in a critical situation (say, we're trying to run the clock down and pick up the first down at the same time) - you don't think a better offensive minded coach makes the right choice in that situation?

Calling plays from a list provided to you is simple enough - you need to properly choose the plays, dictated by various game situations. It just doesn't seem to be happening enough...

A change in OC could yield great differencs in the game scheme - surely you don't think the Coordinators just take the head coaches game script and not say a word? They have plenty of influence - that's what they're being paid to do! It's just the right arguments or recommendations aren't being made right now, and that needs to change - execution of a 3 yards and a cloud of dust philosophy is one thing, but these kids need to have to opportunity to utilize their talents and skills in the right situations.

Hate to bust up such a great "inside scoop" but every OC in football uses a list of plays for each game that has been determined based on the coaching staffs assessment of the opposing teams weaknesses or "game plan" as its better known. So the insider you have while telling you the truth is obviously a maintenance man or janitor who knows nothing about football if he (and you also) think this would indicate some type of breaking news or indictment of Miles and LSU's offense!!

Jesus!!!! Seriously.

Your wasting your breath with these morons.....they are going to believe what they want.

I've been told the same thing by someone familiar with the situation as well. Even if I wasn't it isn't that hard to figure out.

We've had three offensive coordinators under Miles, and none of them have had offensive systems similiar to what they ran prior to getting here.
The only slight exception is Jimbo and a handful of his plays remained, but the offense certainly looked different.

Crowton - ran 5 wides, throw it all over the yard offense prior to getting here......did he do that here?

Studrawa - comes from the Bowling Green/Urban Meyer spread option type style of play. Is that run here?

The problem isn't the play list, it is the order, execution and timing the plays are called in.

Have a great day yourself!

Most objective observers can see this...but this is the rant and the Miles jock sniffers will never admit to the truth about his incompetence.

Its Studs o-line and it's been shite-tastic since he's been here. This year gets a little bit of a pass due to injuries. The Oline has been average at best for maybe 1 year and the rest have been under achieving.

They would never come if they were not given complete control over the offense. Just as Chavis would not stay if we was not given complete control over the defense

So LSU needs a real OC so Les stays away.

But it is his oline. An oline that has underachieved every year that he has ben here. Stud is a poor teacher of technique and basic pass blocking fundamentals. The only improvement this oline showed was when Ben Wilkerson was here. So, now you have taken the worst oline coach in the SEC and made him split duties as an OC. Complete madness!
