In North La Johnny's is the best for thin crust, Pie Works is best for thick crust. To hell with that though, it's A Superior Grill night!

My post game report. Just fininished watching the first half on DVR.
1. ULM played like this was their first time in a
football uniform in 6 months. 2 week layoff
was a terrible idea if true.
2. It was reported last night that Kolton Browning
has the flu (the #2 QB even worse - I don't
think he even dressed for the game). He played
like it. He was MANY steps slower than normal.
I don't know if he slid as much all year as he
did this game. Normally, he's a poor man's JFF.
For the SunBelt, he's a solid QB. If anyone
saw the games that he missed with the ankle
issue, the offense that played today is the one
without him. Not very good.
3. The Defense. They lost several players to
injury for the season. Having said that, the
secondary has been horrible all year. The
OFFENSE has to score most posessions for them
to win. Coundn't do it today.
4. Ohio is a good team. They were well prepared
and came ready to play. Congrats to them.
5. The weather. The only game that I've attended
more miserable than this, was LSU/ARKY in
Little Rock '96. That game had freezing rain /
sleet - 35 degrees. We were on the 50 but about
10 rows from the top. It was 42, but wind
chill was low 30's. Wind was blowing hard
enough that you couldn't hear the ULM band
below and over from us. ULM players were
shaking on the sideline before the game even
started.
6. The CROWD. I believe the stadium holds 55K. I
would guess that OHIO had less than 2K there.
ULM crowd was late arriving. Before half time
the ULM side was more than 90% full. I will
guess close to 20K on this side. The upper deck
was full as was the lower bowl until it started
the curve toward the endzones. During the promo
for the later bowl games, they would quickly
use this side as a back drop. Considering that
it was pouring when we left WM and didn't stop
until we hit Bossier City, I'd say that was a
nice crowd overall. The Independence Bowl
reported over 42K tickets sold, and I'd say
less than 30K in attendence.
The game was over when OHIO went up 24-7 after
Browning's 3rd pick thrown. We left with the
masses at halftime and had no regrets.
Good season for ULM. They'll be as good next
year. Maybe win the conference and play in New
Orleans bowl.

Let me guess, Dino's is King? Must be pretty good, my friend gained 30 Lbs after moving to Laffy & hanging out there all the time. I'll give ya the "best po-boy crown" though. I've never had a better poboy than at Old Tyme! Let me know if you find a better one..

About a thousand places not in laffy have better poboys than old tyme inmo. I am not impressed by any of Laffy's poboys. It's like they aren't dressed right. Tastes like meat and bread.
